I just like it better. Much more (and better) humour in Stargate.
Just pick any scene where Teal'c says absolutely anything to O'Neill or Valla.

That's not to say Star Trek is bad. Of course it isn't. But Stargate's episodes have always felt more... "polished" to me.

My vote will have to go to Star Trek.
Seeing as I've only seen the Stargate movie, played the Sega game for it, and seen bits of a few episodes from different series/seasons of it.
So I've seen far more Star Trek, so there was more for me to like.
Although, the Stargate map on Halo 3 could be good fun with some friends...

I'm the only person who's voted for Star Trek so far?!

I prefer star trek, I've seen snippets of stargate and I'm not interested enough to watch a full episode. Star Trek on the other hand, I absolutely love the original series, plus you've gotta give it credit for paving the way for things like Firefly and subsequently Sttargate.

Just because you have to give it credit doesn't mean you have to like it.

Yep, some people/person constructed the portal, the control room overlooking it, and a small facility surrounding it on the Foundry map.
Mainly used for an Infection-variant game type.
Of course, Halo games aren't the best for making custom maps with a lot of detail.

Eh, I've only played the 360 version, so I can only confirm it for that platform.

I refuse to vote based on the fact that they can't really be compared properly. One series of Star Trek Can be compared to the another series of Star Trek and the same goes for Stargate.

I personally like all of them Star Trek, Stargate, Star Wars, Battlestar & Firefly

Stargate is a great series. Atlantis is the best in my opinion. I liked the direction it went in more the SG1.

I like Star Trek voyager but it's the only one I really enjoyed. the series which Picard was okay.

If they both were on at the same time it would depend if I had seen one more or the episode. If it was Atlantis vs Voyager. Voyager would win because I have seen all of Atlantis and recently. I haven't looked Voyager in years.

it used to always be there to ruin the double episodes of simpsons on sky1

Gate, for one simple reason: Richard Dean Anderson. On SG-1 the guy is just the perfect audience mouthpiece, because he always ends up just mocking the over-the-top villains. Too bad Universe is slowly changing his character now that he's a general, he started out as one of those 'never leave a man behind' kind of people, but since this series is supposed to be darker he's now in the 'sacrifices MUST BE MADE' camp.

I'm not really a fan of Federation, I think they come off as just a little too perfect most of the time. If they went for a more Culture-esque format that actually shows that there are negative aspects to utopia then I'd probably appreciate it more.

They're both so damn good!!! If you compare the entirety of the spin-offs, Star Trek. If you compare the best of each series, Stargate. I voted for Stargate, but that may be 'cuz I just started rewatching it.
