It's late, and I can't sleep... so I decided to do a list of things that everyone who is a 'geek/nerd' should do at least once. This list includes things across multiple media platforms but I put it here because it includes games.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Any MMO
Any Fighter
Own at least one Collecters Edition/Special Edition

Watch/Read Watchmen
Read at least one comic book
Read one Terry Pratchett Discworld Novel
Watch all six Star Wars films
Watch the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy (so far you can only watch 2)
Watch all the Alien(s) films
Watch all the Predator films
Watch the first Saw film

The point of this thread was to see how many people had done everything on this list, if people could come up with their own list of things a 'geek' should do at least once, or add anything to this list.

On the word 'geek' I don't mean it in an offensive way (I'm a geek...) but it was the only real word I could come up with I think fits this list.

Portal, BioShock, Batman and for fighters I have the Naruto Ultimate Ninja games and the Dead or Alive series. MMOs can burn, and a collector/special edition has never caught my eyes as "MUST OWN IT!!"

Currently read The Teen Titans
Not only have I watched all films, I own three different versions of the originals--four when they come out on blu-ray (and I can quote A New Hope line-for-line). Only seen Aliens, but both Predator films "Yeah? You got time to duck?"

I would add "To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before," or something Star Trek related. And why is there no anime requirement on this list? Sailor Moon, DBZ, Naruto, Negima!, something...

EDIT: Oh! And you MUST be able to answer the question, "What's the Scouter say about his power level?" correctly.

Any MMO <-- GW and WoW for quite a while. Lost interest a while ago.
Any Fighter <-- Played SSF2 back in the day, enough to know that I hate Ryu, Ken & Dhalsim.
Own at least one Collecters Edition/Special Edition <-- Tick. BFME2 CE, DMC3SE. I don't really go for these usually. One was a gift and the other I just had to have. It helped that it was cheap.

Misc

Watch/Read Watchmen <-- Nope.
Read at least one comic book <-- I used to read comics back when my age was in single digits.
Read one Terry Pratchett Discworld Novel <-- Lost count of how many of these I've read.
Watch all six Star Wars films <-- There are only three. Well the first prequel was ok but after that I'm looking the other way.
Watch the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy (so far you can only watch 2) <-- Nope. No real interest in the hero/superhero thing really. That's just me.
Watch all the Alien(s) films <-- Stay frosty. All four. I know the fourth met with a mixed reaction but I enjoyed it anyway.
Watch all the Predator films <-- I loved the first one, the second was nothing special. Haven't sought the others out.
Watch the first Saw film <-- Watched the first 5 at the cinema with friends. Mostly because we got in free though.

I've got most of them. Don't have Arkham Asylum, Watchmen, or all the Alien films (only seen the first), nor Discworld or Christopher Nolan Batman films (I've only seen 1)

Um...I've read a comic book and a Discworld book, played an MMO, and played a fighter.

I'm one of the biggest geeks I know, just apparently not in your area of geekdom.

I've done almost none of the stuff you described. Which makes me feel better about things, since the only thing I share in common with geeks is a love of video games.
