Tattoos are supposed to mean something, something personal and representative of your personality.

Gaming emblems are a far cry from anything like that...

OP, get the tattoo. When you're 35, and you don't think videogames are as cool, you're going to look at it and think "Dammit, why'd I get this damn thing?"

If you want it and you have an idea where you want it, I say go for it! Save up some money, it depends on the size but $200 should be more than enough if say it's a 5" square size, depends on who you go to. If you don't know who to go to, stop someone passing by who has some tattoos that you like (don't stop someone with homemade ones that you would scoff at...) and ask him/her where they got their work done, and even if they seem intimidating, they'll usually be really excited to talk about tattoos (I know I always am.)

Thanks! That design is really nice btw, I can pick out the brass knuckles, gun chambers, switch blade and hand guns, but they're blended really well.

I have a friend who has the 5 mana symbols from Magic The Gathering in colour. Down one arm. I thought they looked pretty good!

Keep in mind I'm a business major, accounting more specifically, quite possibly the stodgiest, most conservative of all professions, but one that pays very, very well. Tattoos may be less taboo in more occupations, but the truly high-paying jobs expect that crisp, professional appearance that a tattoo flat-out ruins, to the point where the business faculty makes a point of discouraging students from getting tattooed "for career reasons".

I've known lots of professionals with tatts but they all used the same rule of thumb - no ink you can't cover with officewear.

True. My best friend's mom knows a civil attorney or something along those lines who has full sleeve tattoos.

Also how far into his or her career is he or she? When you have a decent time in a company and your production and or skills can back it, you can get away with more. For example I tend to dress a bit like Abby from NCIS at times and I wear black nail polish and streaks of unnatural hair color in my now black hair, but its because I have the production to back it up. But, when you are going on job interviews and just starting out on your career, you HAVE to lean towards the conservative side. Plus neck will hurt like a *****! Start somewhere small and in a place that is easy to conceal

OT: I say go for it and I fully support you. If your passion is gaming and you know it's not a phase you're going to drop in a year, then do it! I've been gaming for nearly 17 or 18 years or something, it's something I do everyday and I know it's something I won't just up and quit one day. Anyone here discouraging you probably would hate any tattoo, not just a gaming tattoo.

tattoos are meant to mean something, not just something you get for ur brthday.
Only if you're certain you want it then get it done.

Plus...dont get one on the neck...it hurts like a *****
