So, as everyone knows by all of the threads, Genre Wars is a new game about a battle of the fittest. Survival to the best genre. It's brand new and has glitches and annoying things you just can't get around but it sounds and looks fun. I plan on playing it for sure.
However, there's just one problem: What Genre should I pick?
To be honest, I was really leaning towards Zombies at first but I'm not so sure. The stereotypical zombie is a crawler. A crawler is just as the name states; slow, decaying, and kind of dumb. Zombies like that are pretty easy to kill but what makes them so deadly is the numbers they come in and that you have to kill them in a certain way or they'll just get back up. Haha, they're funny buggers, right?
Even though I was thinking "ooooohhh... Zombie," I considered the factors that were against me:
They're most likely the stereotypical: Slow, easy to kill, decaying, etc.
The competition is more hi-tech and has better defense...
If I saw the cons of the zombie, I wouldn't be able to change genre to something better.
I could go on but I'll leave it at those points.
The cons to being a Pirate and Ninja are obvious. (They're human!) I wont really list them so use your imagination.
I'm not sure about the pros except that Ninjas are sneaky and have a wide range of abilities. Pirates are just... gold diggers.
Robots, in my opinion, have an advantage beyond the other genres because it could come at any size (nanobots), they can affect computer systems and other things computer related, and... they're Robots. So long as you have something to repair them, that is, unless they're indestructible. For this game, though, I doubt it because it would be too overpowering. The game has to have balance or there will be only one genre and battles would get tedious.
Scenario:
"HA, I'M INDESTRUCTIBLE, REMEMBER?! *punch punch*"
"WELL, SO AM I! *kick kick*"
"...Really? This is pointless."
"*kick kick* DIE!"
"... -_-"
I know, that was dumb. You catch my drift, though, right?
As for Aliens...! They're just not very cute. Have you seen Independence day? Wooooah... no. I'm kidding but really, they're not pretty. Unless they disguise themselves or something. Like Teletubbies do, you know? Yeah, you know. The things that torture the producers while you're not watching. Aliens, though, are hi-tech and intelligent. They inhabit outer space and blow up planets for lulz. However, they're like humans in the way that they're very killable with big guns and strategic means. An alien is like VERY UGLY Rambo with a big sexy brain except that you can kill aliens and feel no remorse. (Rambo is awesome, you know it. :]) Unless they're like the ones on Excel Saga:
