Poll: Getting a mowhawk.

Hello comrades I'm going to get rid of my old 70's haircut and get a brand new mowhawk, like the one Robert De Niro have in the movie taxi driver. imo, if you want one go ahead, for like a month. The mohawk is not a hair style you should have just to have, it's unprofessional and makes you look like a freak to be honest.

They look kinda cool, but most people will think you're a bit of a weirdo for having one.

Admittedly the Taxi-Driver style one would be less likely to have that effect, but it's still gonna get you some odd looks

If you can deal with the above, go for it. I prefer that kinda hawk to the massive bright ones anyway. They're like Airborne Mohawks.

If you're going to get a mohawk, it has to be at least a few inches high. I've yet to see someone in person with the style you want that didn't look like a complete jackass. There is always the chance that you will look super cool, but it's more likely to look awesome if it's longer.

However, I had a mohawk once, and while awesome, took forever to do every morning. But I would be lying if I said I didn't miss it sometimes

Whenever I see a person with a mohawk, I run in the opposite direction. In my experience, all of 'em turn out to be assholes.

But, if you wanna have one, go ahead. Might as well go all out. Make it a foot high!

So true. I had one when I was working somewhere for a while so they knew me and my work already. None the less the reactions and faces are still baffled, but then again, if you think you can 'afford' to do it (in regards of what predjudice people have, getting a job etc.) go for it man!!

I got one in march. I loved it, it was absolutely awesome. It was black with a bit of blond in it which was left over from my old hair. I grew it out in may and now my hair's short and spikey again. Not sure why I grew it out now, I loved it at the time!

EDIT: Everyone else seems to be claiming they're 'for freaks' etc but nobody at my university looked down on me when I had mine, I only got positive responses, even from my gf!
