Well, I just got my birthday gift (late, but I'm not complaining) from my Aunt, and its a Gift Card for Amazon.com. There are quite a few things I want, but I'm indecisive right now, so I figured I'd ask you - from the selections below, what would you pick?

Keep in mind, you only get to pick one. Also, its a gift card people - there is no real point in saving it, since it will expire and it won't do me any good sitting around. So lay off that.

Without further waiting here are the options I'm thinking of taking:

The Path of Movies:

Surrogates
Terminator: Salvation
Mobile Suit Gundam: Stardust Memory Box Set OR Love Hina: The Complete Series
Star Wars: The Original Trilogy (DVD)
Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy (DVD)

The Path of Books:
Halo: Evolutions
Gears of War
Star Wars Republic Commando: Order 66
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
Tom Clancy's Carrier: A Guided Tour of a US Military Aircraft Carrier
Halo Encyclopedia
Ghost in the Shell Wall Poster

The Path of Games:
Army of Two: The 40th Day (360)
New Super Mario Brothers Wii (Wii)
Aliens Vs. Predator (360)

The Path of "Useful but not quite as fun stuff":
Wii Carry Case
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller w/Charger
Xbox 360 Media Remote

The Path of the Upgrade:
Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade

The Path of Sound:
Ear Force X31 Digital RF Wireless Game Audio + Xbox Live Chat

So, what say you?

Depending on what hardware you are running, I'd say get Windows 7.

Windows 7.

Seriously, all of your book choices are horrible, as are your movie choices (granted, star wars is pretty damn good, but only if you'd be buying the version where Han Solo shoots first).

Thew games are also not particularly good, considering how many great games are coming out over the next 3 months.

From this, the only worth while things on your list are the wireless 360 controller with charger, the Earforce X31, and the upgrade to windows 7.

If you are using Vista, I'd buy the windows 7, if you're using XP it's your call (personally, I'm still using XP and I don't feel inclined to change that until videogames stop supporting it).
I read for two reasons - entertainment, or to gain (scientific) knowledge. And since I firmly believe that most people use the term "classic" or "good" as a synonym for "shit", I ignore most people's suggestions for books. Thus, I read what I want to, and Halo and Tom Clancy and Star Wars are far more interesting than say, Dune. Same applies to movies.

The games are fine - other than LP2, AvP and Crackdown, there is nothing else that is at the top of my "Must Have List". LP2 doesn't come out until May, and Crackdown 2 doesn't have a release date yet, so AvP, Mario and AoT:40th Day make fine substitutes.

I had considered Windows 7 more than anything, particularly since I need a 64-bit OS (my VISTA is only 32-bit) to get the most out of my system.

The headphones are of interest to me, but I'm not sure about buy a dedicated set of 360-only headphones.

Windows 7 seems to be the best choice if those are your options.

I think people are missing something:

I'm not taking individual items - I'm going to take all the movies, or all the books, or all the games, etc., not pick and choose.

Wait, I thought most people seemed to hate Windows 7?
No, you're thinking of Vista. A lot of people enjoy Windows 7, and those that say they *hate* it are most likely Mac OSX users.

I've seen it before - its pretty cool with full page beakdowns, sketches and details of almost everything Halo, with developer commentary about how a lot of stuff came to be in-game.
