has your girlfriend/boyfriend(for the ladies too) ever broken up with you or have you had major problems because of your gaming time?

(we all know, a mate can get extremely....nagging and annoying, and its nice to sit down to some game time and not have the game nag back at you, but give you the pleasure you deserve)

World of Warcraft stole me from my girlfriend. The day I got it I played on it for a whole 8 hours, while she was in my room being bored shitless just forcing herself to watch crappy TV. I didn't realise 8 hours had passed.

But no, never had any arguments or anything like that, although certain games absorb me and she got used to that

well, i've never had any trouble with my gf over games....now when i say that, what i actually mean is "my gf absolutely hates every game i ever play ever"

but yeah it's never anything super serious, it's just a "you spend too much time playing halo" thing.

haha oh i have been on both sides of the line, where there is a nagger and a lover, and this is just for fun really so just seeing what gets brought up in discussion and what the results are

the lover thing is good if it works, but it tended to cut out of my gaming time and i wasn't too happy about that

then the nagger...ohhhhh the naggers. they need to be dropped in the middle of an MMO immediatly so they can feel the awesome power of video games

My girlfriend has thought I prioritize video games over her a couple times in the past: but she lives 4 hours away. In reality, it's times like when I'm playing a Gears of War match with friends and can't talk at the moment because I had told my friends I would play with them. She eventually kind of understood that it was a matter of keeping my commitments with friends, not playing video games. I'd rather talk to her than play games any day. Though we will have to work through some of her perspectives on video games...
