Not horrible, just not catchy at all. The repeated "in my city" just doesn't catch on, and there is no oomph anywhere in the song.
2. Would not listen to it on my own, but wouldn't throw the radio out of the car if someone else was playing it.

2. The lyrics are nonsensical and the actual song is just boring. Also her dancing was pissing me off.

The best way i can think to describe this is to say it sounds like Rebecca Black should be singing it. Or rather, like it was written by the same people behind "Friday".

It's... bland. Uninspired. Safe, in a head-crashingly kiddy sort of way. The kind of drivel I expect to listen to when I'm on hold to my insurance company.

I liked it. The melody did sound familiar so I guess it's not unique. The most unique part was the very beginning. And I'd hoped that there'd be a lot more of the Indian language in there when I did hear the first part.

But it's not bad to me. It's just good as opposed to great.

Honestly? I'd give it a 2, only because she's a pretty good singer. Nothing is happening in this song that hasn't been done thousands of times before, and better. I mean, it's been done worse as well (I'm looking at you, William. And take those stupid periods out of your name.) but I guess that's why it's a 2 and not a 1. I'm being generous.

EDIT: Aaaand now I can't get it out of my head. So now it's a one.

You know, I didn't realize that Will.i.am's name was just William with periods until you mentioned it...

Would have been a 2, but I'm absolutely biased against bill he is. So 1. Also, fuck autotune.

why are we rating this again? it's a generic pop song that we've all heard before. there's nothing new to it and it will die and be forgotten in a few weeks and no one will ever listen to it again.

gave it a 2 because it's by far not the worst song i've ever heard but it's still a looooong shot away from being even average in my ears.

I gave it a 1, it's too bland, it's not just generic, but completely uninspired, and boring, I mean this is one of the least, felt, songs I've ever forced myself to listen to, even for a modern pop song, and that's SAYING something.

Capcha: "techicolor yawn" see, even capcha found it boring...

I figured 1 was for utterly terrible so I voted 1. Definitely not my taste, didn't like it and only skipped through it and immediately came to this conclusion.

her lyrics need some work, it just doesn't flow very well. Her voice is good, but those lyrics killed the enjoyment for me.

I like modern pop, but this is just... blah.

Autotune on Will.I.Am is too noticeable, and it's not supposed to be his schtick.

Either messageless, or the message consists entirely of "WE SHOULD ALL PARTY!" Bleh.

It misunderstands the proper usage of the ever-hated "bleep-bloop" sounds.

She can sing fairly well, though.

2/5. Wouldn't turn off, would NEVER seek out.

Felt kind of derivative of other peoples work in my opinion.

I was disappointed, I though it was going to be a song that you wrote.

There are many trashy pop songs that I enjoy (I like listening to Kesha and Lady Gaga; I have no opinion on Will.i.am) but I gave this a 1. It was just incredibly boring. I wanted to stop listening after about twenty seconds, but I kept going to see if it got better eventually. It didn't. I mean, I enjoy listening to Tick Tock and Blow My Whistle, both of which have super-generic lyrics, so that's not even the issue here. The tune just wasn't catchy at all. If anything, it wasn't trashy/poppy ENOUGH for me. Maybe I'd like it if someone sped it up and heavily remixed it.
...*looks up some remixes* Ehh, it's better, but still not good. I don't know what to say really. I just hate the song for some reason. Now to go cleanse my ears with the soothing sounds of Like A G6.
EDIT: And just fyi, I would probably give even rate Friday as a two, just because Rebecca Black's a freaking teenager at a vanity studio, what can you expect? This seems like everyone involved had ability, they just completely blew it.

1. That was atrocious. I hate that I was exposed to this. This kind of music drives me so far up the wall. Autotune and Will.i.am don't sound good together.

I gave it a one.
I hate most modern pop songs as they all sound the same, have dumb lyrics and are really really forgettable.
This one being no exception.
