Well I'm sure all of us have know the stereotype of geeks wearing glasses, and having looked at photos of some of the people on here I've noticed a number of us wear them. So I was just wondering what proportion of the users here wear glasses, and are you proud to? Have you had any weird comments about your glasses? Or do you prefer contact lenses?

While I don't wear them, I think they can look very nice, and it's just pathetic when people insult others because they wear glasses.

Yes. I'm Gordon Freeman's stunt double... if he needed to gain 30 kilo's for a role.

I would hate to have to wear glasses. Seem like a trouble. I'm sure people who wear them don't feel that way though.

I hate that too. One of my friend has a pair of glasses with just clear glass in them that he wears for style. I think they can look pretty cool a lot of the time.

I'm actually the only one in my family (including the majority of close relations too) that doesn't have to wear glasses at all. Guess I'm just special.

Same here. My parents both need glasses, and so does my brother.

Have been wearing so long, that they have become an essential part of my appearance. Remove my glasses and I look like a completely different person.

So did mine (if you were talking about poor eyesight.)

Yeah. My mom has worse sight than I do, my father has astigmatism, his sister (my aunt) wears glasses too, her daughter and son (my cousins) wear them too. And my mother's brother's daughters (my cousins, again) wear glasses too.

Only my sister is a freak (and my uncles...) because she doesn't wear glasses.

But one day I forgot to wear glasses to school and a girl I like very much said I look... weird without them. And asked me to wear them all the time ;d

Do you have problems with stairs looking closer then they are? That is the only downside to bifocals I've found.
