Those guys that managed to clip into an object or into the empty space around the map and use it as an "advantage" to win.

Personally, I don't just hate them, I want them to die. Especially those that think it's a reward for being explorers or that they're testing the map for bugs so they can report to admins.

It's NOT a reward
It's NOT put there on purpose
It's NOT part of the game

What it is is cheating, plain and simple. The more you try to defend it the more enemies you make, believe me.

its unfair that they can play the game that easily
like in COD4, when people can fire a pistol or G3 as fast as a MP5
when you watch deathcam, they fire impossibly fast for just pulling the trigger

Depends, if it's an exploit in a level's design to give a temporary edge but everyone knows you're in the spot in the first place so its no problem taking the person out... then it's fine

But deliberate cheats/getting out of maps/invincibility glitches/etc NOT ACCEPTABLE

YA mods are bullshit

people will argue that they are fair because they paid good money for them but that's like arguing that it's fair to use a gameshark/action replay because you paid for it

Its another form of cheating. They dont play by the same rules as others, who dont know about the glitches, or just dont want to ruin the game by using them. But these guys force others to either quit or use glitches or become cannon fodder.

Not everybody can (or wants to) play a game for 6 hours straight to learn all the glitches there are.

See, the fatal flaw is that most of the time bullets don't go through solid objects like the wall he's inside.

I know there was a thread just like this before, but I'll state my opinion again: I severely look down on exploiting glitches when you're doing so to the detriment of others. If you're playing a single-player game ad the glitches make things easier or more fun for you, then fine, have at it. But when you're using broken aspects of a game to gain an unfair advantage over people who are incapable of doing the same without stooping to your level, you've crossed the line.

And then you have the gall to blame the people who were playing THEY WAY THE GAME WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED of not being good enough? If I could ban you from social interaction, I would.

there are certain cases where spending moneyz for an advantage are fair (like a turtlebeach headset or paying for an hd setup) but those are not instances where you're exploiting a design choice in the game (like modded controllers/fast reload controllers) An HD setup and high quality sound are intended for the experience

true enough... there are obviously many situations for this sort of topic... but I mean as long as you can be shot and seen with ease it's fair play... think, hide n' go seek ( though i don't condone constant bulshit camping)

I love doing it in SINGLE PLAYER GAMES because I feel like I've cleverly exploited the system. In multiplayer games you're just a huge tool for doing it.

I guess i'm the only one who thinks there okay

i only hate the ones that do it cheap making all your hardwork go to waste.

but overall i think that without them some great idea's of online gaming would have never arrived

but there still annoying

I dont mind glitches that let you get a certain place INSIDE the map, like on Ambush in CoD4 to get on top of one of the buildings. Anything else though, going outside the map or under it I fucking hate. Like in the ruined train station in World at War, cant remember the name of it, you can glitch to get under a pile of dirt and rubble. You can see and shoot out but the only way to die is if someone else uses the glitch too.

i loathe when people take advantage of geometry errors to exploit
the game map. Having said that, if there is a certain part of
the game that is just ridiculously silly (for example playing the
jump on the falling tiles-ala tomb raider-in a game with lag)
and you can avoid the frustration . . . go for it.

Depends...Map exploitation I can tolerate, seeing as it's the developers fault for not fixing it in the first place, but people who exploit bugs for items and such...I dislike them.

sucks to enter a server where people are just doing weird shit to get to some pointless glitched area they found out about on youtube. They're the equivelant of script kiddies, and it's so pointless.

It's like declaring war on China and saying its fair because we could afford bigger nukes.

If it is pals screwing around in a private game, fine. I did that too sometimes eith my old CoD2 clan buddies. But in a legit match, you glitch, you earn my total and eternal hate. I have filed so many complaints all against glitchers. Mostly when I play Gears, 1 more than 2 but it still happens. I am not leaniant either, I have filed complaints against my own friends, but they after I said how I despise glitching shrugged me off. I tend to also try harder against glitchers because it is more satifying when they lose. I show less than no mercy to them. I also try to limit glitch knowledge. If I know a glitch, I am not going to reveal it, though this is usually futile, cause even if I wont tell you, SOMEONE else will.
