Poll: God damn forums...

I go on when I don't have more important things to be doing and don't feel like playing any games. Or I wish to socialize but I can't in the outside world.

So for me it would probably be the latter.

I don't really post much, every so often I'll make a comment or two. though after looking at this thread, I feel like i should go post more. I've been here for 2 years now and only have 139 posts. I almost feel like I'm missing out on a part of visiting to this site so regularly.

i use to post on forums a lot. but then i realized, "huh, i really dislike you online people,", and after that i've made a point of focusing on my real life rather than my digital life, and keep my forum posting to a minimum.

we come back for the attention and sensation of being part of something so big we cant see any other member, when you start a thread and received comments you feel as though someone has acknowledged your existence and claims and thus you feel much better about yourself, Im not saying that people that are on these web-sites like these are lifeless attention whores, Im just saying that everyones is an ATTENTION WHORE whether they want be or not...

Well, seeing as I am currently unemployed, all my friends are at work and therefore can't distract me til the weekends, I live in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do, yeah I spend most my time here, goofing around with others in Forum Games and in Off-Topic, if goofing around can be found. Add to that the good friends I've made here and that is why I continue to come back daily and post.

I chose "I rarely post anything" because in comparison to how much I go lurking about these forums, I really don't say a whole lot.

So I'll just say that the Escapist is always open on my computer and leave it at that.

This place just ends up sucking you in after a while. It's the reason I'm able to average 100+ posts a day unless I'm not being too active. It's like the effect TvTropes has on most people.

It's way easy to spend too much time on forums.

Lately, I've begun to cut down because I've realized that too many of my messages are either ignored or go completely over the head of the other forum users.

That being the case, it seems like a dreadful waste of my time I could be spending doing something more productive. I mostly pop in here out of habit... perhaps because my neurons may be overly addled by caffeine at the time.
