Well I would prefer one flat price basically because I get better deals but I support GOG when I can because of their DRM free policy so as long as that is intact I will continue to support them especially if it means more games.

Didn't expect people to be this mad about this. At least you can get the game; they aren't doing any region locked games, so be thankful for that.
I live in the US, so this doesn't affect me at all, but from what I read, this only affects three games that aren't even on the website yet. If this is worth boycotting to you, then I suggest re-evaluating what you consider boycott worthy and double checking everything you buy to make sure that you aren't being hypocritical. For example, I stop buying from EA because I have been hurt too many times by wasted potential, and I now check every game I buy to make sure that it doesn't have an EA logo on it.

After the success of several titles on GoG, big publishers with the rights to classic games probably realized the real value of what they had; which means they're probably going to leverage it just like they do everything else. This is just a symptom of that.
I don't envy GoG's position, since that leverage threatens to slowly cut off every advantage they advertise.
If GoG gets desperate, well, User Entrapment is an enticing proposition, and it's one that the AAA Old Guard know how to make all too well.
(I'm not trying to just be cynical, but I'd be shitting rainbows right now if it meant that AAA were actually averse to sacrificing their reputation and consumer trust just to turn a quick buck. *cough*SimCity, Diablo 3, Dungeon Keeper, Aliens: Colonial Marines*cough*)
If this becomes a regular thing, well, people will at least have a real reason to ***** for once.

Publishers have agreements with retailers to not undercut them digitally around release and GOG needs to abide or can't do business.
They'll try to work out some offers to make it up to EU/UK/AUS users. (for TW2 it was difference in store credit + free game, but I doubt it will be this good for non-CDP games)
Since they dominate the classic digital market they can insist on fair pricing there. Eventually the new games will also end up in that category. Their goals are:
$5.99 classics - 3.49 GBP, 4.49 EUR, 199 RUB, $6.49 AUD
$9.99 classics - 5.99 GBP, 7.49 EUR, 349 RUB, $10.99 AUD
Those are the crucial bits.
