Poll: Going abroad

Ok so I recently made a thread about studying abroad for about a year or so.

Then I was only considering Germany as a country but now after discussion with the program counselor I have narrowed down my area to 2 choices.

New Castle Australia and Fulda Germany.

I know both places are academically great.

However I ask you guys if you have any knowledge of these cities surroundings, culture, etc.

I've never heard of either of these places, so I'll let Google Images be the judge.
