I was thinking, and i realized, there are very little, if not any games based in USA during 1900 - 1940ish about things like hit-men, the depression and rum running.
I honestly think this would make a great setting.
Make it open world, with a liner main quest and many side quests, Fallout 3 style.
NOTE THIS IS MEANT TO BE A SEMI FICTIONAL GAME!
Not all events did or will ever happen
You start out as a rum runner, and after a successful run, returning home, you are attacked by the east coast hit-men (obviously made up), and awake in a hospital. After awakening, you are removed and brought to the prison but on the way you are broken out by the West coast Mafia. Whom you are prompted to join.
Plus halfway through the story, the great depression hits, and everyone is losing jobs, which in turn gives you multiple hits, and your gang is somehow responsible for the depression, and the police end up coming after you.
I don't know where it will go, but I think that it would make a decent storyline with some careful plotting and engaging story.
What do you think?

^^^^^ exactly what i was thinkingPayJ567 said:It would be an interesting setting. Who doesn't want to wait in line on Christmas day for free bread... Depends how it was presented. If it was done ridiculously over the top with like people surfing old style cars shooting cops with tommy guns I would play it. If it was just grey and dull I wouldn't play it.
