I've had a lot of people tell me how Google+ is infinitly better than facebook. So I make an account and... they're exactly the same! I don't understand why so many people are saying how much better it is when there are no differences.

So, which is better and why, Google+ or facebook?

Uh, Facebook because I already have one and I really don't want to make anything else. I don't even like monitoring Facebook anyway. I wish there was a neither option. :p

Yeah, I'd go with neither as well. I gave up after Friendster, Myspace, etc, etc. What's the point if I have to just make a new account every couple years?

But...I already voted! D;

Oh noes...But to post something a little more elaborate. I would probably say Facebook only because I only use it for Cosplay and it's already set up. I'm sure each has their own pros and cons, but I don't really see how Google+ can do anything different other than a cleaner interface. I mean, Facebook doesn't have anything else that MySpace had aside from maybe the games, so I don't really see a point in switching.

They aren't exactly the same.

on Facebook every one of your friends (Including your mother) sees everything you post. On google + Only the people in specific groups you have made can see your posts.

also:

And there are not thousands of apps constantly trying to access your personal details and there are no facebook games constantly trying to get your money.

I'll stick with Facebook. Everyone I want to contact is on Facebook, switching seems like a massive waste of time. Facebook does everything I need it too (easy to contact relatives, friends, easy to organise things, easy to share photos etc), I really can't see the point of switching and convincing everyone else to switch to Google+.

I prefer Google+; no stupid Zynga games and other rubbish - shame not many people use it yet or give up on it quickly because they're too used to FB.

I can't join Google+ apparently
"This feature is not available for your account.
You must be over a certain age to use this feature. Learn more."

I probably wouldn't bother to switch everything over, but things in groups and rights to anything I say sounds nice, and having a smaller group of humanity in it sounds nice.

In a very literal sense, if anyone says Google+ > Facebook, then they're wrong.

I have both and can't for the life of me see the difference. I'm sure in two years time Google+ will be the prime but right now I find it boring. I'm sticking to primarily using facebook for now.

Facebook because I have friends on it. Social networking doesn't really work when you don't have anyone to socialise with.

I don't care if Google+ is "better", the only selling point you need for a social network is that people you know use it. Google+ isn't worth the effort to be a pioneer and get all my friends to join in.

But if other people do it, I guess I'm down.
