A lot of people have been tossing around how MW2 or AC2 or any other games would be game of the year.
Which game do you guys foresee being GOTY?
Personally, I think MW2 will, and even if it doesn't it will be my favorite anyway.

Shouldn't really consider something like this until November at the earliest. Idealy you pick Game of the Year 2009 in Jan 2010, so you know every game that came out

Who knows - its far to early to make a decision - particularly as GOTY is subjective anyway - so I don't quite understand the line "and even if it doesn't it'll be my favorite anyway".

Do you mean the Spike awards or other useless gaming events from people who are forced to play games, even if they dislike them - and then give GTA4 perfect scores...?

I'm going to let my fanboyism take over for a minute.

It's safe to say that Starcraft 2 will have:
-as excellent replayability as its prequel.
-excellent A.I. (hell, Blizzard is still adding to the original Starcraft's A.I.)
-good implementation of user-generated content
-unmatched balancing, just like the original game
-the best multiplayer of the year (for the RTS crowd, of course)

I say Mass Effect 2! I have almost no clue what to expect (besides faster elevators and more weapons) but its Bioware for Shepard's sake! Did anyone even watch the TOR cinematic trailer they made at E3?! Not that Mass Effect is related to TOR, but same people creating awesome games.

I say MW2, MW was awesome, MW2 should be even better! Its actually kind of a tie with AC2, I loved 1, despite is flaws, and to make a new one, hopefully void of the flaws, it should be friggin sweet.

Mass Effect 2 doesnt come out until early 2010.

With that said, i pick either God of War 3 or Bioshock 2.

He just wanted to know based on predictions with the gameplay footage and stuff, what would be the game of the year. If you noticed none of the games he listed are out yet so we have about the same amount of info on them.

OT : I would have to say that it is a 3 way tie between : MW:2 , Bioshock 2, and Prototype
