They're t-shirts, what's not to like, plain or decorated? I will say, in general, that I prefer shirts that one doesn't have to read, like "10 things I Learned from Star Wars" and the like; I don't want people standing there in front of me reading my shirt.
However, I do wish I'd picked up this gem from Danny Trejo's t-shirt line (I don't see it for sale on the site anymore):

As you said, if they are those cheap ones that think they're funny, no.

My favourite [which I'm currently wearing] depicts a gargantuan ape being used as a marionette puppet by several military helicopters.
I've also had my eye on another one. It has a skeleton riding a unicycle on it, which is seven different kinds of awesome.
