Ok, Me and my friend Joe were talking today about music and soon the cowbell ended up in the conversation some how and then we both got the idea.....
Would it be possible to build an entire drum kit using only cowbells of different sizes and tones?
So Escapists, throw in your thoughts to help this embryo of a idea take shape

Like a Xylophone made out of cowbells?
No an ENTIRE drum set made of cowbells, except the cymbals
It will fail. Drum skins are nothing like Cowbells.

It will just sound like a xylophone. And a crap one at that.

We were thinking of using different sizes and materials of cowbells so they could sound like the actual drum they are replacing, and two big ones for the double bass

Anything that can hold and reverberate air can be used as a drum.

That was incredible, but yes it is true, it just takes skill.

Here is a band from near where I grew up playing a bottle bin. They also have an electric washboard, they are very talented.

That's physically impossible.
A cowbell could never sound like a snare, no matter what you did to it.
Ditto for everything else on the drumset.
