Poll: Halo Reach

What are your expectations for Reach? Do you think it will be a game that redefines the FPS genre or more of the same Halo that we loved, then went meh..then stopped giving a shit about? I personally think it will be nothing new but seeing as how halo fans are masturbating themselves raw over it still, a huge success. your thoughts?

It interested me more than the other Halo games. If they keep on adding new interesting things to change things up (like the jetpack), it might be pretty good.

It looks good in terms of continued storyline development but the game itself looks much the same. Personally I dont see more multiplayer features as the basis for releasing a whole new game...

If they had taken their time to make a whole new engine and allow time for the dust to settle a bit since their last release then I might be a bit more convinced but as yet it seems to be a quick cashin to release the next game fast so they dont have to make any new engines or really update the graphics aside from different rather than better textures.

Then again I thought much the same thing about the last two games they released so a part of me (like with the latest harry potter) sort of wants to like this one and hopes that it will prove me wrong and really be new and interesting.

Only time will tell!

I will play it if a friend has it or it turns out to be awesome but am not looking forward to it any more than anything else.

I´m not really a big Halo fan, I´ve only got part 3 and while the multiplayer was pretty fun, as were the missions where you have to blow up one of those giant tanks, it was a pretty ´meh´ game. Not bad, but not especially good either.
The trailers I´ve seen of Reach so far are looking pretty good, though I can´t help but wonder if a Halo snadbox game would work...

While I'm not all crazy about Halo, I think I'll buy it just like I've bought every other Halo game. They're fun, but nothing too special. Although, this one is adding some cool features, so I'm a bit excited.

I can't wait but the jetpacks do scare me. It can be hard enough at times to shoot people who jump around constantly like they're on a pogo stick.

I'm somewhat interested especially on the jetpack and the (supposedly) higher emphasis on stealth.

However, since it's a 360 exclusive (seeing as I lack one) it's not really on my radar.

It seems way more action packed than ever before and Halo 3 was probably the most fun to play (not counting the immature player personalities). The jetpacks seem fun as hell.

Sadly, I bought ODST (overpriced DLC, anyone?); the silver lining is that I get into the Reach multiplayer beta. I'm definitely going to get the game, regardless of if it's good or not, simply because I devour Halo canon like no other. So far, though, it's looking good. I like the new accuracy system (for those who haven't seen, it basically makes each shot increase the size of the reticle for a short while), and all the new modes are looking pretty sweet. Plus, you know, needle rifles, assassination animations, and jetpacks.

I'm tentatively looking foreward to it. I think the stealth and squad-based aspects are probably overhyped, and it will end up being the same old Halo. But I will still enjoy the overall experience and whatever (very little) variety is added.

P.S. Has anyone seen the new Jackals? Badass.
