Well as I was playing Halo Wars (demo) today, I thought "hey I will make a thread about this and see if anyone else feels like this game has a chance for greatness". Their are some glaring issues like for one, other than capturing the near by rebel bases, their is no ground control aspect. Which is my biggest worry about what they do with this game. When I first heard about about Halo Wars and the ability to make Spartans I was like "ya that is all people are going to do spam spartans". That is fixed by only being able to make 3. Its bad to just spam tanks because their are tank killers and air units, which I liked because im sick of the command and conquer way of just spamming the biggest units you can. Overall I think that this could turn out to be a good rts. One thing I like about this is their isn't the End War (which i loved)problem you where everyone who played online just got artillery as as fast as possible, their is no unit that is greater than all others with just a tiny bit of support. Most big units that can kill many things you cant build early and most cost a lot of money.
Edit: I forgot to mention this and as some people have said this in replys the AI in skirmish is so esay to beat that you don't need to try. In fact, the only time I lost to the AI was when I just camped at my base to see what it does. Which i was getting ready to attack and then their was like 20 huge units that raped everything. Thats more of my fault for not having many units and for letting them get those huge things. I also thought about the 3v3 might be a huge selling point for it too.
