Poll: Harvest Moon

I'm having a small debate with my girlfriend about whether or not Harvest Moon is directed towards a female audience rather than a male audience. What is your opinion on this?

I actually know a girl who is addicted to it and i find it incredibly boring. just not my thing. but hey, different strokes for different folks!

I played the ps1 version a lot and I like it. Call me gay if you want, but I found it fun.

I played the hell out of Another Wonderful Life on the Gamecube.
Then again, I also liked Final Fantasy VIII so... to each their own.

Since you can choose either a male or female character, I think it's equally directed to both audiences.

Personally, I'm male and I like Harvest Moon very much.

Back in the day I would tell you that it's a total chick-game. (Girls don't play hardcore!! They play games like the Sims and Farmville!!)

I loved Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. I was so proud of myself when I got with the red haired girl...forgot her name, but she was awesome!.

Harvest Moon is awesome, it is a great game to play. Unlike other games i never really get tired of it. Also i find it refreshing to take a break from the violence of the other game i play.

From personal experience, I can't say I'm suprised. Back when the origional came out for the SNES, I couldn't pry my sister or her friends away from that game. The sparce few moments I had with the game were quite enjoyable.

Oh, man, I LOVE harvest moon 64. Seriously, I spend several hours on it at a time.

I'm male and I think that it's geared towards gamers who prefer a repetitive, time rewarding game. MMO crowds, for example.

I love Harvest moon games, strange I know. I mean it's a game about work and yet there's something about that I just love. Also as stated above it's a nice change from all the games full violence out there.

If the Harvest Moon games were ment for girls, they wouldn't have the "Harvest Moon: for Girls" series.

Besides, any man can pick up a gun and plot device their way to a hero. It takes a real man to till the soil of a forgotten farm and turn it in to a lucrative business to feed his family.
