So, how do you enjoy your PS3? Do you use it? Or does it just collect dust, or what?

I, for one, love my PS3. It's currently my most used console and I make love to it every night.
Whats with the crossing out? I do this.
It's just... I didn't want my XBOX to know that I was cheating on it. Ol' boxy might get sick with the Red Ring Flu if it finds out.
Why? It got what was coming to it.
500 gigs tastes soooo good, i dont know why you would pick anything else.
I was young and naive, it was a mistake!
Thats what they always say, but they can't hide the truth. You know you wanted it, so you took it.
It was like forbidden fruit. In the garden of Eden Next Gen Consoles. I had to have it!

I got one recently, and I love it. So weird to think that four years ago I despised the thing. You know, back when you were essentially paying $600 for a glorified Blu-Ray player that was blatantly copying Nintendo's motion controllers. (Don't forget, the HDDVD vs. Blu-Ray war was still raging at the time. No one was sure if Blu-Ray would last) Worst of all, it hardly had any exclusive titles worth talking about. Glad to see things have changed in that department. =D

Oh, and the online is free and seems to have all the same features LIVE has. That was a huge factor for me when I decided to get a new console.

I use mine almost everyday. Trying to get all the trophies for BFBC2 right now (97% FTW!!!).

But I'm sure there would be advantages to also having a piece of Microsoft crap a 360.

I use it fairly regularly, but atm I've been pretty engrossed in Deadrising and Jade Cocoon II.

I want them to perfect the PS3 before I buy it. You know, reverse capability and all that fancy crap.

My loyalty to the PS3 was based on A) prior preference to the PS2 for the superior catalog of games available compared to the Xbox and B) the prospect of more potent hardware and data storage standard.

Understandably, I was frustrated at first with most games coming out clocked to perform on the 360 and hardly taking advantage of the PS3's hardware - 1st party titles largely excluded. Even with that, the games list was piteously small.

I was fortunate in that I had acquired a launch-model PS3, so the full reverse-compatibility allowed me to enjoy my considerable PS2 collection with wireless comfort - though the 18-gig hard drive still bites. I may have to upgrade in the near future as data-swapping gets irksome. ... Then again, there are always external drives... *makes sidenote to self*

Still, I do not have much animosity towards the Xbox360 (just toward some of the more zealous users) and I try to enjoy the exclusive titles when they come along, as they tend to be well-developed, if not always my cup of tea. (Swimming ever against the current, I try to convince my peers that Halo: Wars is a better story vehicle and overall canon experience than the Halo shooters... They laugh and attempt to tea-bag me)

I enjoy dependability of hardware as well. I co-own a 360 Elite, and it is in its second incarnation at this point. Most of my co-workers are on their 3rd and 4th boxes. My PS3 has had nary a hitch (not even during the Apocalyps3). My experience has been favorable, but then again, my demands do not entirely match those of the mainstream gaming public - who represent the greater voting power of their consumer dollars, after all.

I have a PS3 and love it. Of course, it is only my secondary console- I use my PC as my main gaming platform, as is has always and will always be the best way to play games. but lets not get into that. I do love it for movies and for playing console exclusive games (3D dot game heroes, Skate 3, FFXIII).

And lord knows it fills that slot better than a 360. Why?

1)A decent few "360 exclusives" are actually just not for PS3 (mass effect, L4D).

2)Why pay for online? Even if it was my main system, I wouldn't want to do it, none the less pay for something I'd only use occasionally.

3)The PS3's exclusives are just better. 3D dot game heroes, GoWIII, MGSIV, LittleBigPlanet. Sure, the 360 has Alan wake, Fable 2 (not 1/3, they are on PC) and the halo series, but really, I don't think paying for online is worth those games.

4) Hilariously bad HDD support/ USB drive support. 'nuff said.

5) 360 is starting to show it's age. Soon enough the 360 won't be able to keep up with the PC/PS3 in terms of processing power and graphics.

Well, I love the few games I have that are exclusive to it (LBP, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone 2, Resistance 2), but for the most part I get multi-platform games on my 360, simply because that's what all my friends have and we're all achievement whores.

And I'm quite happy paying $60 per year to be able to have parties. PSN sucks compared to Live, true facts. Trying to organize games of Resistance 2 was a nightmare.

(It's funny how people always talk about 360 fanboys, when this thread is loaded with PS3 fanboys. Hypocrisy, oh what a wonderful thing.)

I'm a 360 fan boy and don't have a problem with PS3 i just prefer the 360. I would like a PS3 but if i don't get one I'm not going to cry. It's also worth mentioning that I really hate metal gear solid and I'm very sad that InFamous didn't come out for the 360.

My PS3 is awesome. I use it as often as possible. I enjoy the games, I enjoy watching movies on it and it looks great next to my black glossy edged TV

I have both. I think that the PS3 is an overall better system (definitely preferred for single-player games unless the version is bad), while Xbox Live offers better multiplayer. No, the community is not necessarily better, but everybody is given a headset with their Xbox. Multiplayer games are just much more fun with voice chat, and I feel Sony needs to get on the ball with that.

Still, I love my PS3.

One small problem i have with the play station maybe its just cause i live in Australia is that playstation games tend to be 5 to 20 dollars more expensive. Plus i Don't like allot of the playstation exclusives like final fantasy metal gear killzone And Heavy Rain (Its just an annoyingly long movie with bad acting and a handful of good bits), the good playstation exclusive are little big planet, Resistance and Infamous. But i do like PS3 and would like one.

Where is the "It's good" option? I like mine, I'm glad I have it. Is it better than the 360? No. Is it worse than the 360? No. They both are dead even, IMO, and I prefer my PC to both (even though I still tend to buy console games more often, because I'm impatient for Steam downloads, and nowhere in town has a good PC game selection, best place is Wal-Mart, and it's mediocre there)

I adore my PS3, has a nice selection of games for me and I get nice, free internet. I play it whenever I get the chance, and I dont have to feel bad cause I have an Xbox 360 as well. So I dont have to worry about exclusives to one system.

I already pre-ordered FF14 for my Ps3 as well now that I think about it. Hot dog.

Living in an apartment and working for a video rental store, I use it more than the lights or the stove easily. And if I DID live in a tropical, warm all the time enviroment, I'd STILL use it more than the AC, I'd actually play naked and dripping sweat rather than not use it and be fresh and cool :p

I love that it has a strong line up of games now, but playing blue ray movies means that I can beat blockbuster's stupidity in sending employees only the Bluray copies of prestreet movies since my PS3 can play them. I can also use my flash drive to put tv episodes ON my computer and watch them like I actually had cable (because with the internet who needs television unless you're an NFL addict like myself)

It's great because you can use it to watch movies, play games, and even move computer things to it to watch or listen, so I call it the best system ever, but that's my personal preference so you Nintendo jockies and MS fanboys can kiss my ass instead of telling me why I should kiss yours ^^
