Okay, as part of a school project, I need to pick a song from a show, movie, videogame, etc... and be able to play it for the class. I have narrowed it down to three choices, but I can't pick between the three, so I'd like help deciding. My three choices are:

I am also open to suggestions of other songs which might be good to learn, though not necessarily as a part of this project.

*EDIT* Forgot to include that the project is songs in pop culture, and all 3 sources are relatively well known amongst my class.

*EDIT 2.0* I play bass, and my partner plays electric guitar

Do you have to pick one of these? There are cooler ones out there, like the mighty poo song from Conker.

Take the Imperial March theme.

Imperial March hands down.
Even people who have never seen Star Wars know what it is.

Ow ow ow. Do NOT listen to all three of those songs at once.

I'll tell you now that the mario song is way too simple for you to play as part of a project. I would go with the imperial march, though it really depends what instrument you're palying. I learned a part of it on piano, and it was relatively simple, though I'm sure there's a more complicated way to play it.

to recommend you something though, I did the pirates of a caribbean theme tune, He's a pirate for my standard grade music, and though a little tricky, it sounded excellent once I had learned it.

I'd forgotten just how amazing that doom tune was!!!!

Star Wars is amazing, but EVERYONE picks Imperial March, even me when I did a similar project way back int day. go for the Megas XLR one.

Unless you have the energy do some kind of Mario-medley, then Imperial March takes the day.
Just that short bit over and over again gets boring, but a complete medley of iconic Mario tunes is hilarious and made of win.

Yes but what instument?
Are you playing them as-is or changing them for the modern idium?

I think that imperial march is overused, as Cajt says 'screw it'.
Why not re-invent underworld theme with real instruments?
Make it more epic - or combine with the march (okay this is a bit mad yes).
What Grade are you - i mean what are you exactly supposed to DO?

Kay, I'll explain a bit. I have self-taught myself bass for going on two years now, and am able to play well enough each of these won't cause much of a problem. It's part of a group presentation on songs in pop culture, and this is the contribution that me and another member have decided to make to the overall project. I polled the class before posting these choices, all three sources are reasonably well known, with 75% of the class knowing Megas XLR, the least well known among the group (80 people).

The Imperial March would be the most easily recognized. Even if people have never seen Star Wars, they know the music; whereas, I could see it if not as many knew about the first song and the third one.
