Poll: Help Me Pick a Game

I sold some old games and now I have some cash to buy a new one. Right now I'm thinking about Uncharted 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Bad Company 2, or Call of Duty World at War. What do you think? Should I get one of these games and if so which one. I am interested in both a single player and multiplayer game. If you think I should not get one of these and have another title in mind tell me. I do have a preorder of God of War III so if anyone was going to suggest that don't. I don't have Call of Duty 4 so that is a choice too.

It totally depends on what sort of game you're in to.
I voted for COD:MW2 because it was the first COD game I managed to get into which is kind of a big deal as I'm not usually impressed by FPS's.
That being said I've heard Uncharted is amazing - but I don't have a PS3.

You thought about maybe renting each of them and buying the one you enjoy the most or something? x

Both amazing games although Uncharted is more single player and bad Company is more multiplayer

Not sure where I can rent games. The store that rented them went under so there are no stores around me where I can rent. Haven't tried gamefly, but don't know if I want a monthly subscription. I did put in a suggestion to the local library that they should start carrying video games as well as the movies, and music they carry in addition to books.

Do you have a PC as well? DoW2 + ex pack are really cheap currently.

Out of the shooters you have listed, BC2 is probably the only one I would ever recommend to someone. Uncharted 2 is somehow hailed as a good game. I don't know why; it's not. If you like cover based shooters you'll like it, but that's all the game is. Moving from one place to the other hiding behind chest high walls seems to be the gaming forumula for a 9.5 or higher from all critics. I find these games boring.

Let's not forget the WRITING of uncharted 2. Dear god, it's like a mass pandering, Hollywood style shit fest where every character is a smug jackass trying to be ultra witty. It's just annoying as hell.

I'd recommend Heavy Rain. It's intelligent, engrossing, emotive! It has REAL characters whom are relateable. It has a very good story and a plot that's delivered masterfully. If your games need to be all about explosions and guns, you won't like it. If you're the kind of person who loves to read a good book, the game is for you.

Depends. If you play a lot of online multiplayer get either Bad Company2, or Modern Warfare 2. If you want a single player game, Uncharted 2, or Batman as some others suggested.
