I'm utterly horrible at maths. Anything more than basic equations and I'm lost. I just can't think that abstractly.

Thankfully, nothing I ever want to do in life requires me to be in any contact with mathematics at all. When I leave school, I'm going to get one of those fancy programmable calculators that are so advanced that they don't let you use them in exams and bring that around with me, and that's maths sorted for the rest of my life.
WHERE CAN YOU FIND ONE
they dont do everything they cant solve equations or diffrentiate/intergrate, but the REALLY expensive ones can draw graphs on the screen. (parametric ones as well)

what was your overall experience in algebra and the other, harder math classes.
Yeah, Algebra was tough in 7th grade (that's Junior High for some people). If it is really getting to you, I suggest skipping high school, get a GED, and train as an apprentice for a labor type trade. The money your parents may have saved for college would probably be better spent supporting you until you become self sufficient in this 'trade work' you do, as opposed to drinking beer in a frat house.
im not the social type anyway

I loved algebra, actually. I like math because it's so beautiful. You can take this big huge heap of numbers and letters and, if you know what to do, arrive at a single correct answer. That's just beautiful, man.

If you're having trouble, though, don't be too proud to get a tutor. That's the only way I made it through geometry, which I never could quite wrap my head around. Calculus...dude, that was so beyond me even a tutor didn't help, so I ended up taking "Humanistic Calculus" in college, which was affectionately known as "Math for Poets." It was all theory, no actual calculation. Aced that, thankfully.

Math:you gotta do, what you gotta do.
-Just try to take good notes and always do your homework. If you're not getting it, get some help. Don't focus on the thong of the hot chick in front of you. This is my advise. Use it wisely.
how could i not focus on that thong!?

it has little pink bunnies on it for crying out loud!

OT:i'm fighting my way through it, some things i get some things i don't.
as long as i pass the test.

There are no shortcuts, man. Practice makes perfect. Repetition is the mother of learning.
Just read the explanations and solve the problems. If you can't solve the problem - read the explanation again (rtfm)! If you don't understand the explanation - read the previous explanation.

I technically slept through it.

...Though I did ace it up to pre-calc level then didn't bother with taking more math, so I dunno if that really fits how the answer would be perceived. You need combo/multi options or something. >_>

As such, I didn't vote. Yay for me. :D

simulord let me give you my grades...A's in three of my classes(c in math of course). i despise hip hop, im a shy, nerdy, kid who doesn't like people very much, i dont know why sex is important(except for breeding), and the classes are easy mainly because it's the last 2 weeks of school(and other reasons). And i'm quiet(im not making this up).....they're many teens who are like that yes, but you pegged me as having a very different personality(like those of my classmates) So in conclusion you are someone who bases people off of internet threads, and if you can't add to this one then STAY OUT OF MY POSTS.(and it's remedial classes not "dummy" classes, and i would know if i was in a remedial class....besides my classes are algebra 1, english 1, life facs, and pre engineering).

substitute "Like" with "Love" and you'll get my answer. Any math is sheer joy. Weird how I'm not getting a degree in it though...
