I'm a comic artist and I've decided to start making a webcomic. I have a couple ideas for a webcomic and I can't decide on which one to go with. So, I decided to ask the good people at the escapist what they think a the best one would be.

1: Science Fiction-Comic. (Taking place in the future) A sentient robot is accidentally trasported to a city on an alien planet. The city itself is ruled by the collective criminal bosses of all the gangs there. When the gangs find out about the robot, they are made aware of how advanced he is and they want to capture him for use as a weapon. The comic would follow his movements through the city and his attempts to avoid capture by the gangs.

2: Fantasy Comic. On a planet of monsters, the weak Huma live out a primitive existence trying to avoid two warring factions of monsters: The faceless and monstrous Vintrac as well as the amoral Mictross. The story follows a young Vintrac who befriends a young Huma girl who has found a map to an ancient place where the Huma once lived safely. The comic would follow their adventures, trying to find the place on the map.

3: Science-Fantasy Comic. A pair of robots have crashed on a forest planet. As they try to explore the planet, they soon find that the population of the planet is almost entirely filled with dangerous monsters or demonic abominations. The comic would cover their various encounters with the magical phenomena that litter the planet.

4: Post-Apocalyptic/Sci-fi Comic. On a planet in the far future, humans have colonized a planet with relatively few problems. Eventually the humans become widespread on the planet. Until, a strange event known only as the "Reality Blast" decimated the planet, killing thousands and stranding the remaining population on the planet. And if that wasn't bad enough, the survivors also need to deal with a the strange, eldritch monsters that appear randomly and spontaneously on the planet. The human government in the rest of the galaxy has deemed the planet too dangerous to risk evacuating, meaning there is no hope of rescue. The story follows a friendly monster that decides to assist a few humans in building a spaceship in order to escape the planet.

Why not work on more than one? Like work on 2 on alternate weeks or somthing. This could expand your target audience. Just a suggestion.

I voted for post apocalyptic cause I'm a big fan of the fallout univers.

Best of luck.

I would do two, but at this point, I have a few other art projects that will take up time as well. I really want to start on my own comic though. So I figure I can do one comic without overloading myself with work.

Just out of interest are you writing this comic as a hobby or are you intending to take it to a commercial level?and it was just a suggestion although I would personally finish the other projects first before starting a new one as I hate having half finished pieces of work.

Will check this post for grammatical errors tommorow, I'm tired and it's just turned 3:30 in the morning so I'd better get some sleep.

Just doing it as a hobby. And my other projects are going to be finished before I start large amounts of work on this one. I just wanted to decide on one so I have something to work on if I get writer's block with the current one.
