No, high-heels are good for aesthetic purposes and only aesthetic purposes. I never understood why women wear them.
You answered your own question.
I suppose you got me there. Still, you'd think women would wear them less as high-heels suck at pretty much everything else.
I find them sexy, and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that thinks that.

The pain is worth the gain.

If I could fly and fight without using my feet then perhaps.

I can barely stand to wear heels just walking around--let alone beating up bad guys. Do you know how sore your feet would be at the end of the day? You know likely it would be that you would misstep and break your ankle?

So, no way.

I wouldn't, for the same reason that I wouldn't wear a cape - too bloody impractical.

Then again, being a guy I only have to avoid capes.

No but I am a guy. I'm not sure if my opinion still counts. I can still imagine how impractical and painful it would be.

so is wearing you underpants over your clothes... In fact a lot of things in comic books are pretty impractical. That is why we love'em!

What and like all the other things super heroes where during a fight WOULD be practical?

Masks which block peripheral vision
Capes that get tangled in things
tights which in reality would offer no support of breasts or a man's junk.
heavy utility belts

the list goes on.

A super-hero with impractical, fancy outfits won't survive for long.
Capes, anyone? *points at The Incredibles, then at a plane's turbine*

Ummm... I have worn high heels and really don't trust myself with them.
I don't want to make it to easy for the bad guy because I will kill myself on them.

So... my answer would be a no. I wouldn't wear them.

If you're super, you might as well. Since being super must give you super balance and feet of steel or somethin.
I'd wear heels a lot if I could walk in them for any amount of time.

Retractable heels?
High-heels when the damsel with power needs to pose, low heels when doing high kicks.

Problem solved.

See if you're talking about stiletto heals, then no fucking way. It would be far to impossible, but if it we're something more akin to the Batgirl's shoes the maybe. For those who don't read that, they're about a one inch platform, so still comfortable. But most likely, I would use combat boots, durable and comfy, it's win-win.

I always thought it was impracticable for Buffy to wear what she wore a lot of the time. Clothes/shoes. Especially later when she was always fighting demons during the daytime and not just night.

I'd say no, unless my tech-guy sidekick made special ones designed to aid me in the field.
