this being my last day as a senior in high school, i found myself kinda sad. its kinda a small high school, and all the senior pretty much know each other, so its sad that i wont be able to see them for a while.

so i ask if anyone else had the same feelings when they left, or will when they leave.

I'm still in high school, but I cannot wait to graduate. It means I can finally leave home.

Well, i did graduate about 8 years ago...

Still, i know what you mean. I loved my highschool experience, and id go back and do it again if i could. But, it all comes to pass and you get memories that you can hold on to. Which is why i never understand why teens these days hate highschool so much...drama queens.

I'm a freshman (going on sophomore) in college, and I can honestly say I REALLY miss my high school days. At least, I miss being a junior and senior in high school. It just seemed SO much easier to make friends back then.
Then again, many of my friends were in band with that complete assmonkey of a director, and I quit band after first semester senior year... but hey, I got a girlfriend around then too, so it's all good. I'm even still with her.
Now I'm soliloquizing. I'll stop. Don't hurt me. MAMA!

Once you graduate, you have a realization that the static life of high school is over, and your life is going to be changing dramatically for a little while. After you've had that realization, and accept and look forward to the change, everything becomes more fun.

I left school before it ended, I was just sick of all the crap. I shall not miss it. Already, I can't remember much about it, which I'm very happy about.

To put it mildly, secondary school was not for me.

I can thank it for one thing, meeting a few good friends, but I really didn't have a good time, at all.
Exactly this for me aswell.

Nah not really.

I hated my high school. Mainly the stupid freshmen who still have the mentality of a 13 year olds.

I miss the social aspect, and the being younger part of it (and I missed out on quite a few horrifically awesome concerts), but I guess I did what I did, and it's all in the past now.

Nope. I miss easier work, no worries, and friends but not high school itself. I hated my high school years with the white hot intensity of 1000 suns.

I won't miss it. I went to an International Baccalaureate school, a small one at that, and most of the people in my grade were incredibly snotty. I miss the lower class men though. They weren't all that bad.

There were good bits, certainly. Like friday pub club, which largely involved seeing how much me and a few mates could drink before French with the headmaster.

Wait I've probably just voted wrong, in the UK education system I've finished high school and am now at college, in USA I'd probably just be at the end of it.

... I think?

I'm in High School and it's pretty nice, except when we have to study stupid things... Like things that aren't math. Seriously, what's up with that?

I got a bit nostalgic when I graduated from high school. We were a small school, a lot of students had been together learning for over 10 years, and we were all going off to university or elsewhere, scattered to the four winds. But I don't miss it, not in the least. I've done too much, grow too much, learned too much since then to miss it.

Graduated and it feels good.

I do miss getting to see my friends on a daily basis, many are still in high school.

But now i can focus on working and going to college.

So no i don't really miss it.

Finished a couple of weeks ago, so my opinion isn't really fair.

I've got a job, a place at uni in september (Hooray for free higher education!) and I've got all my mates I want to keep in touch with on Facebook at the very least. Everyone else in my year can get f*cked, they're tossers every one of them. Don't much care for the adminsitration of the place, all po faced miseries who's only joy in life is seeing us miserable.

Although, I've grown quite attached to some of the teachers, who are pretty sound and in a way, it's a shame I'll never get to have a good chinwag with them again.

Should mention I went to a chav infested state school, so my experience might be slightly marred.

Everyone says they hate high school while they are still there, and occasionally you find someone who will still hate it years later...but, I wish that I was back there for all the many times I said, "I hate high school and can't wait to leave." It was a vacation compared to work, living on your own (paying bills, rates, house insurance) owning a car, paying it off using money to maintain it. I'd jump on the bloody chance to go back -_-

Old-ish man reply (38): I remember my friends and the times hanging out with them more than I do the actual schooling itself. That I miss. I miss college more that I do high school. The classes were better and far more interesting as were the women.

btw, for those of you still in high school: In general, no you will not need 90% of what you are taught. Especially anything past algebra 1, basic geometry, and english 1 &2. Everything else is extra. My advice is take more art, music and public speaking classes. It will make the world a better place.

AND FOR FUCKS SAKE STOP SAYING "LIKE" EVERY OTHER WORD! YOU SOUND LIKE A FRIGGIN MORON! LIKE SERIOUSLY!
