Roll up, roll up.

The scottish immortal is back to kick some arse :D

Or is it going to be a complete failure.

Please, please EIDOS, make this good! :)

Yeah... by EIDOS... sure, it has a chance of being good. Likewise I have a chance of a meteor landing at my feet that contains a briefcase full of money. Guess which one is more likely!!

Honestly there aren't too many companies out there who's name on a product is reason enough for me to not buy it, but EIDOS has that distinction. It's like for every brilliant, entertaining release they release a flood of shit to accompany it. Deus Ex? HAVE A TON OF BAD TOMB RAIDER! Legacy of Kain? SEQUELS TO LEGACY OF KAIN! Thief? THIEF 3!

Not to mention games like Kain and Lynch or that goddawful ps2 game that was something to do with Eden I think.

So no, this game will blow so hard it'll remind Katrina survivors of their loss.

Man that voice over was horrible.

As far as the idea of a highlander game, it could work even if it was a bit shallow. Fight your way past the peons fight the immortal, get cutsceen, so many years/decades/centuries pass, do it all over again. It could be a passable game but going by how bad that preview was I would be surprised

You can't die. Wow. Challenge = 0.
Sure you can. They just have to cut off your head. Which, y'know, I'd do anyway, just to be on the safe side.

Yes it was horrible. And I could see it happening exactly the way you describe it, which would be sad. Then again, it's hard to make a one-versus-many sword-based game without descending into the realm of the comical (God of War, Dynasty Warriors, etc.)

Now, if they let you accumulate weapons and fighting styles through the game, and then unleashed you in the modern-way world with your choice of sword and style, that might be fairly sweet.
