Now this is an interesting thought I had the other day. As I was walking inside from the cold Michigan winter, I felt a great sense of relaxation as my heated house warmed me up. Earlier in the week, I had worked up a large sweat in the pzza place I work at. Working near the ovens all day makes for a very hot enviornment. After I was done, I stepped out into the cold, winter air, and it felt great. The cooling breeze and snow was now a welcome feeling, as opposed to a bone-chilling hatred.

So my question to you is: What feels better to you? Warming yourself up after being very cold, or cooling off after being extremely hot? An odd question, for sure, but its food for thought, if nothing else.

Since I live in Arizona I have to say its much better for me to cool off after being hot than vice versa. However, since its hot most of the year I'm a real wimp when it comes to cold. Anythign below 70 is too cold for me.

i think i prefer warming up after being cold.

but it has to be from the sun on a hot summer day.
i don't like synthetic warmth for some reason.....?

on a side-note i think cooling down with italian ice(from italy very important)on a bench in the hot sun.

Seeing as I live somewhere colder than the ninth circle of hell, I can truly say I enjoy both, and it's almost equal although I do find it very good to warm up after being cold, even though I love warmth and summer...

well, i don't know
being cold keeps me awake, I get so lazy with hot weather.
and for some reason i don't feel it when it's really cold, or really hot, but when it's a bit chilly i like to step inside.

For me, I would rather be wet and freezing then hot and sticky/sweaty. I love the cold weather, i dont care if my athsma doesnt. The cold air is so nice. I go outside in 15 degree weather with windchill its like 7 (ferenheight) with just a sweatshirt, no jacket. I get a bit chilled but its not bad, and i like it.

I'm just used to it because my backroom (which is pretty much where i live when im inside) has no insulation, and since New Hampshire can get a bit cold i jsut get used to the cold.

That being said, i like warming up after being cold. I know it kinda contradicts what i just said but i love that little tingly fealing. Its nice, also my girlfriend is always really warm, so when we hug i get warmed up, and i love hugging my girlfriend.

I prefer being cold at all time so cooling down is always better for me.
Absolutely agree.

If it gets too cold just put more clothes on. But with heat you're running out of options once down to your undies. o.0

Cooling down, especially after any of my classes when I walk outside on a winter day. I love the cold.

I like staying at a consistent temperature, I hate warming up and cooling down. in between 75 to 95 degrees is where I'm comfortable at, but as long as the temperature can't give me hypothermia or cause my appendages to fall off and doesn't fluctuate very much I'm good.

cooling down. Now, i live in Canada so i know how warming up after a stint in the freezing cold feels, and let me tell you, it never beats a nice cool breeze on a warm summers day. Besides, when all the blood rushes from my fingers they start to hurt.....

Cooling down after being hot. In that case, it's almost immediate and much more of a relieve. With going from cold to hot, you still get that lingering cold from before and it's still hell for a few minutes.

Right now it's winter, so my mind is in "get warm to survive" mode.

But in summer there will be nothing I look forward to more than jumping in the pool.

Coming home to a warm house after being out in the snow. Nothin' like it. Nice soft duvet on the couch, chesy horror movie, hot cocoa, and the girlfriend.
