Did you see the Need for Speed: HS video? Thank god they're taking a break from the fad! Cops are more aggro, and there may be more choices to being a cop than choosing 3 cars and 3 attacks to stop those darn speeders. Back to the exotics too, but maybe they'll have more than that this time around. What do you think?

Didn't really impress me that much. I'm not too keen on racing games anyway, but that demo didn't make me want to play it.

I'm thinking of it as more of a continuation of Burnout as it was before Paradise. That's by no means a bad thing.

Also, before people scream "It's not NFS!", I want you all to know that the NFS franchise is splitting into three separate styles of games:

The classic car customisation/finding races around a freeroam map style.
The Pro Street style selecting races from a menu and racing on tracks.
The new Burnout style.

I remember playing NFS 3 HP on my PC years ago. Chasing people down and beating them into submission as the cops never got old.
I want to do that again...

Maybe it was just that the people doing the demo totally sucked, but the game looked very meh.
I agree, the people playing did suck, but I suppose the point was to watch the gameplay, and not actually win. I too have memories involving the last HP that are fond. I'm kind of sick of racing through a city, the whole street car fad, and things like that. Burnout is NOT NFS, never has been. Paradise was the best one since Takedown, imo, and the free roam was awsome. Plus, you could choose to go to the outskirts of the island to escape the city-block monotony. Driving for long periods of time is much more fun with a decent soundtrack and little to no housing and businesses dotting the roadway, and shortcuts that are more offroad than thru an alley. I miss playing GRiD online in the demo tho.
