how good are you at video games? be honest. i would say i am a little above average, because i do well at video games but i still die ALLOT. so my question again is, how awesome are you?

I am so awesome at games that I'm forced to hide my awesomeness by appearing to be a mediocre player. Yeah...

I'm quite a determined little Brit, so even if I do start out sucking at a game, I'll work until I've got it all sorted out. So to put it plainly, I'm generally pretty good, but if I'm not then I'll work until I am.
I'm very good at the games I enjoy and play the most. While I'm an average CoD player, I am great on Battlefield games, and also amazing in almost every area in GTA IV.
MacGyver, riding a cybernetic dinosaur, armed with a rocket launcher that shoots exploding chainsaws, in a battle to the death against Kane, in a Timberwolf that has been retrofitted with giant lightning claws.

I'm a great shot in the game, often come in first place when I play an online deathmatch (assuming that auto-aim is off, takes no skill), I am a great driver (friends would vouch for me, I'm always the get-away driver since they can hand me a car, and I will get them out with it) and I'm also a good pilot (I've been known to chase them down streets in one of the attack helicopters, destroying their cars with mini-guns). Since from how I see it, the main areas for GTA are the driving, shooting, and driving, I would consider myself very good at the game and therefore I am capable of calling myself amazing. Not to mention the fact that I have most of the map memorized and know where several great spots are on it that we always enjoy causing chaos in.imahobbit4062 said:

That's why I only play with people I know aren't dicks on it. I play normally with only a couple friends in freemode. We've grown quite good at working together in it. There was this one asshole a while back who claimed he was amazing at the game but was a total dick. First he claimed he was an amazing driver, but when given a swat truck, he couldn't save anyone. I kept telling him I needed health and to drive over a health pack, even instructing him which directions to turn to find the nearest one, and he missed every single one and claimed it was the cars fault. I know the swat van is sluggish, but the stuff he was doing really said that he just had no skill to back up what he was saying earlier. He later purposely crashed the truck since he was bored and couldn't escape the cops, leaving me and my other friend stranded in the road and having dozens of cops close in on us. I had almost no health left, so I stayed back to offer my friend a momentary distraction while he runs down a few alleys. I am killed shortly after due to a mix of no health or cover, and respawn a few streets over. I promptly jump into the nearest car and floor it to his position. I stop the car at the end of the alley and he dives in. We then proceed to start escaping the cops, and pass the dick. The dick thinks though that since he had died, everyone else should as well. We finally realized that fully when we drove past him and he shot out both my tires on the right side of my car. Having almost no control on the car's turning now, I tried to make it down a street, but when I tried to avoid an oncoming swat truck, it nails my side, as two cop cars nail me from behind. End result is we got pissed at him for getting us killed, he just shrugs it off and says it wasn't his fault, and we swore never to play with him again.
Funny thing about his driving as well. Shortly after this another friend of mine got the game, and he turned out to be a much better driver then the dick on his FIRST TIME PLAYING. We always find some irony in that.
tldr? Most people in the game are dicks, play only with people you know/like if you want to have fun.
Edit: Oh and RPG campers. They are so fucking hilarious. You take away the RPG, and they can't do a thing to save their lives. Get some distance and use a carbine, it'll drop them quickly.
You know what would be really nice??? If people actually posted the whole question in the poll title, rather than relying on you to read the thread post first. I didn't realize it was a question about how awesome you were AT VIDEOGAMES until after I voted.
