Poll: How did you come up with your nickname?

God damn it. Escapist ate my post.

I was in two bands one called 'deck of many things' and 'the traveling o'somethings' I was 'Ace O'Something' or 'Ace of____' at every show stating I was the ace of something different based on one of the other bands we were playing with or whatever holiday was nearby. One of my favorites was 'Ace of Laid'

I used underscores because I didn't know I could use spaces when I made the name.

It's my Middle and last name... I know it not the most creative thing to do on the internetz, but I like my that name so I'm sticking to it. Also, I know its something that I'll always stick too since its not based on some sort of reference that will eventually evade any meaning later in the future. It's still a hell-of-a-lot better than some forgetful, difficult to pronounce name taking a shot at mixing random capital letters with randomly matched numbers. And don't even get me started on the whole XxXinsertXrandomxhereXx thing! (But seriously, if your a double/triple/whatsnext?! X pornstar, it's probably not the best best of ideas to go around letting everyone know about it).

One time I was in a long drawn out conversation (about noodle slurping and whether or not an apology was necessary) of which I remember very little, except these lines below:

Me: Well you know, in Japan it's considered polite to slurp your noodles... (I'll admit to a smart-ass tone at this point)
Noodle-Slurp-Apologizer: These are Chinese, Noodles! (note: how she said it outloud, that comma was clearly implied)
Not-Quite-Paying-Attention-Guy: Did you just call him noodles?

and so it was from that day forth (and for the next month or so until summer break ended and I went back to hanging out with my school year peeps) that I became known as the one called "Noodles"

My kid brother made his first WoW character, he wanted a Tauren and I suddenly remembered the TMNT and I was like "Dude, name him Cowabungaa, get it, COWabungaa?! GET IT!!!" aaaand it sort of stuck ever since.

Sure beats Assassinator, which was the nick I usually used before that. I'm so crappy with names.

I made it up a while ago(most likely after reading the Lord of the Ring for the first time), I think I connected the words dragon and spire to make Dragmire. Provided enough spaces, I use it in all games I play with optional main character names.

I'm usually referred to as Drag when people talk to me in online games. I originally thought it was to save time typing mid-game but people on voice chat do it too. It's kind of weird.

Ive got a thing for hardcore techno and distorted basslines and music glitches. Plus a number of artists who do this type of music have distorted in their title or Distorted in the track name (Distorted Revelations, distorted reality for example)...

I have the third most common surname in the United States, and something like the fifth or sixth most common given name for girls. The way middle schools worked in my area is that one middle school is fed from (I think) five (forget the exact number) elementary schools. So we show up for our first day of seventh grade to learn that there are seven girls in my grade with the exact same name. Two others are in my homeroom. It's obvious that nicknames are required.

About a year before that, my parents got me a "board game" for Christmas. It turned out to be a basic module for Dungeons and Dragons, not that anyone had realized it at the time. I never got anyone to play it with me, but I used the item and monster cards and the rulebooks to start writing my own stories. One of my favorite characters was an Elf named Aris. I have no idea where the name came from, it wasn't until about two years ago that I've ever heard of anyone else using the name. But back in '94, I decided to be called Aris. I've used it ever since.

Princess comes up a lot for girls, so it's less unique. But I like it. Whenever I play flight games, Princess is my callsign. I convinced a dozen of my friends to go to the renaissance festival in costume one year, and treat me as their princess. Plus, I love Disney, and they're all about princesses. So it stuck that way.
