Ah, the clown. One of the oldest and and most classic comedy characters. As an appreciator of comedy, I've recently begun thinking about clowns and how among most people I talk to online or off, a lot of people dislike clowns. But lately I feel like people say they dislike them only because they feel they must, to be "cool." I should know, I used to be the same way until I began to question why I didn't like clowns. I'm sure some have valid reasons for disliking clowns, but surely it can't be THAT widespread.
Clowns are professional comedians as much as any other kind. They put in the hours, they learn the tricks of the trade, they suffer the humiliation of a bad show, and I think it's high-time we began to respect clowns once again! Enough with the monster clowns! Down with the zombie clowns! Forget the sexy clowns! Please-God-don't-even-mention the "gangster" clowns! They are just perversions of a truly timeless act! Remember: clowns are people too, and you can't really fault someone for trying to spread smiles.
Now I'm just gonna wait and see how long it takes for someone to post a picture of "It." Because come on, it'll happen no matter what I say.
EDIT: And like 10 seconds after I post this, I already have four votes saying they aren't funny. Who hurt you people?
