Rudolph, Miracle on 34th Street, Grinch, all classics that I've watched almost every year around Christmas. I used to love them all, but now I find most of them grating my nerves. Is it because I'm not a kid anymore? Because I've seen them so often? Or is it because I can see how silly they are now?

I don't take them seriously, but for some reason Santa in "Rudolph" seems like an asshole, and the kids from the beginning of "Frosty" annoying. Only the live action movies like "A Christmas Story" and "It's a Wonderful Life" are enjoyable anymore.

Are the classics still classic to you, or are they wearing thin with age?

Xmas classics? Didn't even like 'em as a kid... I'm actually more tolerant of them now, but I certainly don't like watching that sort of stuff.

I thought they were okay as a kid, but now I think they're all very interesting. I'm picking up on small details I never noticed as a kid. Like in one just called the Santa Claus movie, there is an elf called Patch who says things like "elf-confidence" instead of "self-confidence." He does it all throughout the movie, but it just works so well for his character. And another elf in that movie does sort of a Yoda thing, where he'll end a sentence somewhat like "lead and follow, follow and lead" or "reading and writing, writing and reading."

Also the set-designs and costumes are interesting to see, as well.

You forgot the Christmas classic Scrooged. Yeah, the good version starring Bill F. Murray.

I was never really thrilled about any of them even as a kid. A Christmas Story was something I really hated even as a kid. My family always say it's a funny classic, I say that it's a terribly made and unfunny waste of money. I even tried to explain to them why I thought so and they all just kind of looked at me like I was insane. I thought I had a good argument.

I really don't like Christmas movies. It may be a hang up from my family, though, because my mum used to make us all sit down and watch these movies as a FAMILY, and no dissenting voice could dare be heard...

Yeah, I definitely have some hang ups. I think it was the portrayal of these perfect, saccharine sweet characters and stories, and the expectations from my mother to emulate them.

I like them. There always nice to see when your waiting for Christmas to roll on by. Its been ages since I've seen Miracle on 34th Street. The original at least. I don't know about you but I never cared for the remake, even if Ricard Attinborough is an awesome Kris Kringle.

The only holiday specials and themed things I've cared about were Halloween ones. Christmas ones are too sappy or boring for me usually. The Grinch was alright though, Dr.Seuss stuff is always cool because of his way with words.

The only Christmas specials I still like are The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (live action, not the cartoon) and A Christmas Carol (2009).

I tolerate the claymation-things showing on ABC Family. Not bad, I just don't know why it's shown every year.

I will strangle the next person who tells me to watch A Christmas Story for the eightieth time.

Hated them when i was little... Hate them even more now, i don't watch TV anymore though so i don't have to go through that inevitable pre Christmas rundown of every Christmas film ever.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is about the only one I can reasonably say to enjoy anymore. A Christmas Story is mostly inoffensive, but I never thought it was uproariously funny, either.

If, on the other hand, you're looking for a reason to off yourself, then I commend to your attention the Star Wars Holiday Special. Broadcast only once in 1978 (for reasons that will immediately become obvious). Available on YouTube. If you've never heard of it before, read this review [http://teleport-city.com/wordpress/?p=588] first.

There are a few that I can't help but enjoy, like the Grinch and A Christmas Story, though I'm further and further becoming the minority with the latter.

I consider Woodland Critter Christmas a classic now, so I'll add that to the list as well.
