OT: Depends, 'cos if it's just for work/mundane going out, I'll use a razor and give myself a once over. If for a formal occasion (or equivalent), out comes straight razor and I'll be primping myself for half an hour...(!)

I use an electric hair clipper to trim the beard and to remove excessive hair. I usually do the same with my haircut on the same day, so I go from pretty hairy to everything done to the millimeter.

So I had a friend ask me how I shave and I always shave with a razor blade. He said that he used an electric razor and his older brother waxes (which I don't know if that counts as shaving). So, how do you guys shave, or do you?

Wat.

Waxes? His chin/cheeks? For real? Doesnt that hurt like a MOTHERF!...or does he just have the sadest beard growth since the dawn of time? Or...maybe he's just tuff as a toenail.

I use a Straight razor, more preciscely a Bismark, MADE FROM SUPERIOR GERMAN STEEL! I think it needs to be honed though, there's only so much you can do with a strop

it just feels... cleaner. also, it's a nice ritual, as you get the best results when you take some time to properly prepare the shaving foam, put in on with a brush, wait for it to soak the hair, and then, well, you go ahead and shave.
it's especially relaxing when the day was quite stressful; it's like a small "island of peace"

I also shave with a straight razor, best shave ever.

I use a katana.
Ok, i use a shick quattro with titanium blades and gillete foaming gel. Quattros are excellent, when I shave against the grain, there is no trace of stubble at all. I would like to try using just a razor blade, it seems pretty badass. But it's not that big of a deal at age 14.

Oh, also, you can make disposable razor blades last much longer by rubbing them backwards on jeans which hones the imperfections out of the blade.

Razor, the electric technology isn't sophisticated enough yet, it may never be.

I use an electric razor. I should be using it every day, but I tend to forget, so it's more like when I get around to it.

Electric doesn't exactly get everything in one go, but I'm honestly too lazy to go through the whole ritual of regular razors. And waxing would hurt way too much.
