Poll: How do you sit your XBox 360?

When I first got I had it sitting vertically, but now it's sitting horizontally. Mainly because it wouldn't fit into the tv cabinet otherwise...

Straight up. Never had it freeze or crash or anything even once, so must be doing something right.

Also heard horizontal makes it more liable to scratch discs.

EDIT: Actually, a friend of mine had his uh.. Oblivion? Possibly, anyways, one of his discs had this perfect circle that was clearly visible and rather deep scratched into it. His 360 is horizontal. Though to be fair, it is modded. Yet another reason for me to not mod my 360, along with the obvious and the fact that his DVD drive broke as soon as he got back.

Logic and common sense will tell you that laying it flat is best because standing it on end blocks up the biggest air inlet, putting it at greater risk of overheating unless it's stood on a laptop cooler or something. Also it obviously increases the chance of knocking it over.

So... yeah. Takes up more space but it's worth it in the long term.

Flat. Besides that it's the only way to fit it where it is, it keeps it cooler and can't hey knocked down.

I stand it up in my bedroom because the area it sits is just short of being wide enough for it to sit horizontally..it sounds bad but it only died once and it was after two years of moderate to heavy use so I guess I just got lucky.

Since I got it back a month and a half ago, it's been in my living room, on a separate tv table horizontally where it can get plenty of air.

Flat. I used to have it standing up but my dog knocked it over once and scratched my game disc.

Something like this happened to me recently...my 360 destroyed an RE5 disc after getting toppled.

Mine is currently sat on its side, hooked up to some industrial cooling units I "borrowed" from some place in switzerland. I'm sure they won't notice any missing from their big metallic donut thingy-ma-bob. They weren't half heavy though lugging them through those tunnels.

In all seriousness its on its side, and I place gel packs on it if it gets too hot, or bacon if i'm hungry.
