It remembers things well, but rarely manages to produce anything original or creative.

Ya, I just figured out that I use the right part of my brain a lot more, and my brother uses the left part of his brain. And that is why we're so different. Seriously, we're like opposites. I'm fascinated by the brain...

I like to create things in my head, but I get caught up in a small detail or part and I have to knock myself out of that scene.

I think everyone has the capacity to create great stories in their heads. It's the ability to turn those mental images into actual words that makes a good writer. It's also why I'm not a good writer, unfortunately.

By the way, the whole right-brain/left-brain dichotomy is a myth. While it's true that some people are more creative and others are more logical, this has nothing to do with the halves of your brain.
