Played Oblivion for many an hour. Played Morrowind for about... 20, I think. I've tried out Arena and Daggerfall as well, couldn't really get into them.

Yeah, I loved oblivion, even if I thought it was a bit shallow in places, I still really admired it. It was a beautiful game.

I have played all entries in TES, so yeah... I am excited for Skyrim.
Glad to see I'm not the only geezer, *cough*, I mean Elder Scrolls veteran, on the Escapist.
Yeah, I've been playing the Elder Scrolls since day one, so heck yeah, I'm excited about Skyrim!
Currently taking a stroll on Vvardenfell to keep myself occupied until Skyrim arrives.
Right there with you gentlemen. Jagar Tharn ain't got shit on me!

I played and modded the shit out of Morrowind and Oblivion. The only thing I can of The Elder Scrolls I never played much of was the expansions to Morrowind and the games that I didn't know existed until they were too old.
I liked Oblivion a lot, even though I know it tends to get a lot of hate. It wasn't perfect by any means but it was still a blast to play. I could just be a sucker for open world.

I played the shit out of Oblivion at least three times. And by that I mean three different triple digit files, and I even got into Morrowind recently. Honestly, Oblivion was about an 8/10, and Skyrim looks like it's fixIng everything that put it below a 10, so I waiting as impatiently as possible.

I'm not excited for Skyrim, because I played Oblivion. I wouldn't say Oblivion was bad, it was just really boring for me. I'm interested, and will probably get the game of the year addition off Steam when it's dirt cheap, but Bethesda games aren't really my thing.

I played Fallout 3, that's close enough right? I kid, I never got around to playing Oblivion despite the pestering of my friends and by now I feel I'd get a much better experience simply jumping into the series with Skyrim, kind of like how Twilight Princess being my first Zelda game really blew me away having not experienced anything like it with previous titles in the series. So count me in as one of the very few heathenistic freaks looking forward to Skyrim without actually having played Oblivion. My apologies Internet, you may begin stoning me now.

I guess people who didn't play Oblivion are hyped 'cause of the... hype? It's certainly been bigged up, and lord knows we need a good solid fantasy game in the middle of all this first-person shootery muddle. I ploughed around 250 hours into Oblivion and absolutely love it, and can't wait. A guy at work is considering getting it even though the only Oblivion knowledge he has is from my rambling on and on about it and I have friends who tried Oblivion and won't be picking Skyrim up 'cause they didn't enjoy it.

I can see where they're coming from. The first half-hour of Oblivion can be off-putting. But my goodness how I became obsessed with it. I'm going to a midnight launch for Skyrim and have Friday off, thankfully, so I'll be playing it all night.

Yup.

I've played the shit out of Oblivion. Over 200 hours total.

Best part is, I've got a day off of work AND school on Friday so I'll pretty much have Skyrim all to myself. *rubs hands together with glee*

I'm trying not to see so much Skyrim content and Skyrim themed forums because I'm starting to get tired of the game before I even played it. Sometimes I just can't help myself though

Yeah, I played Oblivion. I thought it was a competent game, just with a few bad decisions made (voicing all dialogue with about 12 voice actors).
I'm excited for Skyrim not because I believe it'll be a revolutionary game, but because I believe it'll fix the problems Oblivion had while still keeping and expanding on what worked.

Yep; I have Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion all under my belt right now. Me and my friend are heading to the midnight release of Skyrim, actually!

It's the only game this year I've actually been excited for.

I did play Oblivion but I'm not excited for Skyrim. In fact, I'm not even buying it. Bethesda can't design a game to save their own lives. The only reason I got so much enjoyment out of Oblivion was because I used mods.
