Just wondering, because a lot of these really big threads I don't bother reading the whole thing before I comment, just curious as to what others do.

If I'm going to comment on it, then "All of the posts". The only exception to this is if it's over about 30 pages, and even then, if it's good enough to comment on and I won't read it all the way, I'll read a huge chunk of the pages, comment, then go back to read the pages I've missed.

If it's not an interesting enough topic for me to read the responses, then generally I won't post a comment myself.
Of course, there has been the occasional exception to this rule, but that's to be expected, surely? :p

As many as I can to ensure I'm not echoing comments already made. But if it's beyond 3 or 4 pages I won't bother, as I feel like it'll just be a raindrop in an ocean at this point.

If it's an interesting topic though...

Just the short punchy ones usually, if I'm actually intending on posting. I've a bit more patience if I happen to be... dammit, I forget the word... um... "not posting"...?

I think it begins with a g. Stupid brain.

Depends what the thread is. If it's "say some randomly funny thing" or the like, I'll skip it or just skim to see that I'm not saying the same thing as someone else. If it's an argument thread I'll normally go the whole way through regardless of size.

If thread title is interesting, usually first page and last page. Maybe then follow some intriguing quotes deeper into bosom of said topic.

All of them, basically. That is if I want to comment. If there are too many comments to read, I probably won't post anything. There are a lot of people on the Escapist and a lot of opinions repeat themselves. Just quoting something and saying "this" doesn't add anything to the discussion, I think.

Generally speaking I'll read the OP in order to decide whether or not to post in the thread, and if I decide to post I'll then read the first and last pages. I post at work and so don't have the time to read all the pages, so I basically just familiarise myself with what was said at the start of the discussion and what's being said now. It's a method that's worked quite well so far (I think / hope).

I usually read the first page mostly and some of the posts on random pages that I click on, sometimes only the OP, varies depending on my mood and size/content of the thread.

If I decide to post, the first few pages and the last page (or all of it if I can).

If I don't post, I go back and forth and end up reading it all after about half an hour (in and amongst perusing other threads).

Until I get bored or there are no more posts, I never post myself unless I have read all the other post.
