This may sound stupid but it's with good reason. You see, a man has declared official claim over ownership of the moon and is selling it off acre by acre at a rate of £10 per acre:

The trick behind this was that he found a loophole in the document about the american and russian race to the moon. The document said that "no single country was to claim ownership over the moon". The key words are no single country. Doesn't say anything about a single person. So this guy claimed ownership of it and is now selling it which begs to ask the question, how much would you buy the moon for?
Oh, and if you're wondering what the point of buying the moon is, it means that NASA and any other space projects need to get permission from you before doing lunar experiments/ explorations/ whatever on it (And you get a deed claiming ownership of it).
