I find it pretty cathartic when Im stressed out. I reckon I swear the most when Im driving though, only because of all the roundabouts coupled with the wide range of speeds various people chose to do round said roundabouts. Makes life pretty stressful.

Well being a fucking Aussie, I swear a shit load, in fact I'm pretty sure that I swear at least 10 times before I eat my fucking breakfast. ;)
But it's also not uncommon for people here to use terms like *****, arsehole, shithead, mother fucker or even **** as a sign of endearment.
A lot of outsiders find this difficult to understand, but it really just comes down to tone, sentence structure and sometimes the use of slang.

i.e.

saying to a friend, something like "aw, fuck off ya ****" = good
were as saying "fuck off, ya fucking arsehole" = bad

yeah, I know were a fucking strange bunch down here. :p

Using the poll as an average; as some days I never do and others I curse like crazy. I try not to, and keep to a rule of using swears only for emphasis. Well, on some days that doesn't go over well.

I didn't choose the bottom choice to be cute, but I swear more than ten times per conversation. I mind myself around kids, my parents, etc., but the swears are pretty free-flowing in casual conversations.

I don't swear.... that much. Only sometimes.... and then there's one time each year when we go with a bunch of friends, we lock ourselves up in a cabin and swear like sailors on overdrive. We amass so much hate there that when we return, we love eachother more and more. :D

I often speak Russian. It's a language perfect for swearing. In fact, you can convey complicated notions entirely by swear-words!

That really depends on what you would consider curse words, because I never say anything that curses (damns) something, but a lot of other words I use quite a few times a day.

Not very often, although if I am annoyed and alone, I'll swear over and over. If I'm with my parents or small children, not at all. If I'm with friends, I'll only swear if I'm making a joke.

Although, coming from a public high school, not very often is still more than average.

Also, Captcha, how the fucking hell should I know what fucking visa signature cardholders get on friday? I don't even have a fucking credit card you dumb asscunt!

Shit!

I swear on a moderate basis when with friends, but literally never swear in front of family members, although they often swear in front of me.

At work I swear like a trooper; in fact, I only realised how much I swore the other day. I tend to swear less outside of work but I still swear quite a lot by normal standards, I imagine, but I can't say I care. Swearing is a wonderfully enjoyable way to empower a sentence.

I curse everyone and their mothers, and their first born child! Some might die a horrible death, some will have horrifically disfigured offspring. It's so damn good to be a witch.

I've been doing it for so long, it's ingrained in my vocabulary and it's an automatic response in certain situations.

I don't know how often I swear. It's not too often, but if any given expletive comes to mind, I'm gonna say it. When I first started swearing, it was all the damn time. But that was middle school, so...

I don't really understand why there are such things as 'swears' or 'bad words.' They're just words. I'll let my hypothetical future children swear. I'm not gonna censor myself around them.

Why's it such a big deal?

This is a reason why i don`t use a headset anymore, this and the fear of becomming a "star" in a multiplayer youtube vid.

I swear about as often as the average New Yorker.
I guess about the same applies here, but I should put some credit of my Sailor Mouth to my sailor blood (uncle and grandfather on my mother's side).

I think I may curse a bit much though; I'm pretty sure I shocked an Irish couple the other day with all the swears I dropped.

I'd have to say 3-5 times a day.

This is assuming repeating the same words over as that's what I am prone to doing.
