Before I even knew how to read so about 4 or 5 years old. I remember when I was 4 I forced my parents to read me the dialogue while I was playing Star Fox on the SNES.

I basically grew up with my sisters hand-me-down Atari 2600, NES, SNES and Genesis. Every weekend was a trip to Smith's to go rent another game or two.

I was deeply saddened when I found out that my mother recently gave my entire retro collection away without my knowledge. Sure, I could just get an emulator, but you just cant beat the feeling of a 2-oz piece of plastic in your hands on a shitty 10 channel TV set. Oh well, at least some kid somewhere is enjoying my old collection (I hope).

The grouping of your age list is a bit puzzling. Jumps from 3 difference, to 5, to 2?

Anyway, I really can't remember that well. Was around 10 or 11.

Around 5 I think. I remember playing Mario on the NES when my dad was stationed in Guam. It was fun and I actually managed to learn that one easter egg where in the underground level you could run along the top of the cave and find a set of hidden tunnels that would take you to the next three worlds. I don't remember how I figured it out though.

I started with the original doom somewhere around 10 years ago. I don't remember exactly how old I was, but it was about a year or so before the N64 came out, and I'm 21 now.

Depends on what you mean by 'gaming'.
I first played an electronic game device when I was 11 (I think).
But I did become a 'gamer' as I define it until I went to uni and should have been studying ^^

Same here, actually, though I was around 7 when I first experienced gaming.
