Poll: How old were you when you started gaming?

I'm curious how old various people are when they get into gaming.

my parents had a Atari 2600 since before i was born in 1982, i found it in a box and as soon as i figured out how to set it up i must have been 4 or 5 i was hooked.

I started at around 5-6 playing Pokemon Yellow, and Pokemon is a defining trait of my childhood. I later got a Sega Genesis for Christmas when I was 9 (yes, it was in 2003. It's as absurd as it sounds), contributing to my being one of the people here who doesn't hate Sonic, and I consider Sonic 3 & Knuckes one of my favorite games. I give the two since while I was a gamer some with some PC games and the Game Boy Color (I was introduced to Zelda with Oracle of Seasons), it was the Genesis that got me truly involved in gaming and gaming culture, and it was very important and defining for me.
