According to the poll the average person here is slightly more intelligent that the average person... but thats rather odd wouldnt you agree?

So if you actually wanted to be smarter than the average person you'd actually have needed to selected the genius option.

Oh and knowledge does not = intelligence.

I think I am pretty smart, and I guess I am mostly, I tend to be able to infer things better than most people for instance, but occasionally I will do something very stupid, like leave a spoon in when I microwave my pudding.

Yeah, whenever there's a topic about IQ, it always surprises me to see how many people here have IQ's of 180+.
You'd thing they'd all be off doing something more constructive with all that brain power.

Its pretty silly that the vast majority of the poll is so drastically tilted towards the "im smarter than average" side.

I doubt this is the case.

And I strongly doubt that many of the voters who chose the final option will have any lasting impact on society

If you read the OP, it's not about any cruddy IQ test. Doing well in an IQ test merely shows that you are good at taking tests, not necessarily a genius, though I admit the smarter you are the easier a test must be.

And yes, last time I took an IQ test I did great, but nowadays I scorn them.

I'd like to think i'm pretty intelligent... it's just that I don't always think before I speak. this can make me sound pretty stupid at times. but I got a 126 in an IQ-test (not that those convey intelligence in any way, but I like to tell people this. and if the average is at 100 I'm a little above average... Yeah i'm average. I know this because i am friends with all the smart people. And im kinda glad i'm not as smart as them, they always get pissed off when people who put in more effort or are smarter beat them at something. I hope thats just an immaturity thing.

Actually I'm mostly made of water. But water is pretty winsome, so I could see how you'd get confused.

I considered putting an option like "I can't be classified" in the poll, but figured that it'd unnecessarily pollute the results because of people like you who are all "lol I'm desperate to be different so I'm going to say I'm insane!".

Insane people can still be smart or stupid so your remark is meaningless. And besides, as I said in the first post, it's about how you view your own intelligence. This poll isn't about your mental condition, so whether or not you're sane is of no significance at all.
