I like how the majority of people are between 180 and 190. The "above average" height.

I'd contest that and say the average is about 180-190 for men. And mostly males visit this site. So it's not really a big surprise if you think about it.

There's also the national averages to consider. OP may be from an averagely short country. I'm pretty sure mid 180's is average for males in Australia.

As someone who is 5'4", which is equal to roughly 162 cm, I am going to have to point out that I think your height descriptors are a little off, as I am considered BELOW average.

As a 21 year old male I'm 5 foot 6 inches. I really really hate being short.

I stand 5' 7" (1.70 m) and I'm 21 and I do boxing. So I know how it sucks to be short.

I'm a 5'2" male who is 23. I'd love to be even 5'6" or 5'7"

180cm or so, which is average-to-short, atleast here. Doubt I'll get any taller, I've been about this height since I was... I don't know, 12-13? Still, a person doesn't really stop growing until they're 25 or so... however since I smoke AND was on roaccutane(apparently can mess with bone growth) when I was about 12-13(had some skin condition that basically caused big dry red areas under my nose), I doubt I will get any taller.
My father and his father are both 190+, so I could've been taller, if circumstances allowed it... unfortunate.
And I'm roughly 85kg. And no, I'm not fat, just naturally with a relatively muscular frame(that stays even if I don't work out at all, though physical strength does decrease quite when I stop working out for a long while).

24 years old, 1.85m (or 6'1" if that's your thing). Used to be slightly short for my age untill age 14, then I suddenly rocketed to average (mind you that 1.85 is indeed quite average here in the Netherlands, we're a tall bunch).

Edit: And I'm male, for the record. Dutch women don't average at 1.85 m.

Have to say that I choose above average but in the UK, we still use the Imperial system mainly for height. I am 5 foot, 10 inches., 22 years old.

I am the smallest male member of my family (got my mother's smurf genes unfortuently). Apart from me, the next smallest person is 6 foot, 2 inches, my younger brother. After that, the uncles, cousins, brothers and father all range between 6 foot, 3 inches and 6 foot, 10 inches.

Hard being the runt sometimes but not all is lost, the L theory seems to hold true

We use the imperial system in the U.S., I'm a 6'0" male. My mom's family is tall, with granddad and my uncle being 6'4" and 6'7" respectively. The girls usually get to be 5'8" but a few are 6ft. I,m shorter because my father's family are small(Dad is 5'9"). Still, 6ft is a good height.
