At one point, my name might have been 1 of 2 in the country I lived in. (the other being my father.) (eg. 1 in 10 million.)

Where I live right now, it might be more common.

In Poland, it's likely to be much more common. (I know of a polish actor with my name.)

Hmmm... upon looking at the poll results, I am forced to one conclusion. At the time of typing this post, "very unique" and "fairly unique" are tied for first at 177 votes. This means that 354 of the voters on this poll think their last names are unique. This makes me think that maybe some people who voted for one of these, maybe their last name aint quite as unique as they think...

I dunno how common O'Connor is. If I lived in Ireland, I'm sure I'd vanish into the crowds, but I haven't met a lot of them here in America.

My name surname is Anderson... it's pretty common and dull :(
Hey, Anderson means "son of man." Be proud! Go read Ayn Rand and feel good about yourself.
Im Irish and if you lived in Ireland you wouldn't blend into the crowds.I dont know a single O'Connor in my area.
By the way my first name's Phelim. Beat that.

I have never met another human being with my surname that wasn't directly related to me. Also, I have never met anyone that has pronounced my name correctly without being told the pronunciation first... and even then 90% of people still get it wrong. It's not even hard. It's three damn syllables and all three are common sounds in the English language.

I'm not going to say mine, there's only 11 people with my last listed in the whole of Canada and four of those names are myself and my relatives.

Being a fan of Kirby (obviously) Kirby is also the name of a vacuum company named after a guy with last name Kirby. The Creator of Kirby the character was a vacuum salesman in Japan and had Kirby brand vacuums.

I have the sexiest surname in the world: Love.

I don't know about rarity, but I never met anyone else named Love.
