Twilight the video game?

I heard the news on the latest content of it raking in some amazing amount of money and it hit me, in a bid to make money, theres the very real threat of it getting a video game adaptation, I want to know your opinions, I would hate it as A)Its terrible and B) I have no idea what genre it would be.

It may not seem likely but remember, money hungry companies know no boundaries.

Aactually, now that you mention it...There has been rumors of an MMO about it. I'm gonna burn it, but the fact it's gonna be made is horrifying.

It would sell millions because of all the braindead pre-teen girls who are obsessed by the films. Add in stupidly easy achievements and half of the 360 owners would at least rent it for easy points too.

That's how the gaming industry works now.

If it happened, it wouldn't sell. Crazy teen girls don't buy games, for the most part.

Anyway, what exactly would it be like playing as Bella? Press X to say something only a crazy ***** would, press A to cock tease the werewolf, press Y to say "You don't want my problems", press RB to cry about Edward?

I wouldn't care. There's worse games around (like Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupee Land for starters). And I say this as a fan of Twilight. I like the books and films, but there's no way I could buy a Twilight game. Either it would completely forsake the plot in an effort to actually include gameplay, or it would forgo any actual gameplay to stay true to the story. It just wouldn't work.

Eh, we'd probably hear about it early enough here on the Escapist, so I suppose I'd just take a hit out on the development team before they get anywhere near finishing their work.

that really depends, DO you play BELLA, where you kinda just walk around like any barrage of the defenseless little girls from the Resident Evil games and ED and JAKE jump in to kick the ass of any evil mushrooms that attack you with angry looks?

Do you play as EDWARD where in the first 4th of the game you IGNORE Bella, in the second forth of the game you STALK Bella, the THIRD of the game you LOOK at Bella with one level of the game you run through the forrest with her on your back making comments (see spiderman 3 game), then in the forth part of the game you run into the Ballet room to save BELLA, where you don't really ATTACK JAMES, you just initiate the CUT SCENE where you see the movie where EDWARD attacks JAMES. and then the game ends.

You can play as JAKE where you brood So much that ANGEL (Buffy the vampire slayer) pops up and calls you an EMO *****.

Oh yeah, its gonna be AWESOME!

You mean they haven't made it yet? I would have thought it was already in development what with the movie industry leeching off the gaming industry by making crappy film tie-ins for every other popular movie.
