Poll: How would you want to die?

I'd want to die with the rest of humanity of the apocalypse happens, that way if, and I really mean IF, there are somehow survivors and the human race restarts itself, the story of the apocalypse will be told throughout the rest of their lives and carry on through generation to generation. You will never be forgotten, but not individually mentioned.

But, I'd want to die peacefully in my sleep in old age, dreaming of the good times in my life, the friends I've had and my loved ones around me giving me farewell hugs and kisses when I ride the big, golden train to heaven. Sure, I'll no longer be there for my still living family, but I died with no pain and happiness in my final moments.

One - With technology being enhanced then, say, Y2K, and science being a lot more sure of itself now, I reckon the apocolypse might as well actually happen this time.

Two - That being said, I would like to die alone, and strangely enough, of cancer. I don't have cancer, I don't want it and I sympathise to all those who do, but for some reason I just wanna die of cancer. It's confusing, I know.

Three - Humanity is f***ed anyway and it WILL end, and hopefully sooner than later, because as a collective, humankind is just a giant a**-hole.

If this puts me on probation, I won't be surprised.

I'd rather die a way where I'd go down fighting, whether against some crazy unkillable Cthulhu-esque monstrosity, or against some crazy hobo with a knife, or a zombie... As long as I can try to fight back, I'm good.

For the whole apocalypse idea t work for me, it would have to be like ALien invasion or zombie/ mutant uprising. A long drawn out apocalypse where f I must die I want to do it fighting alongside my friends and family in our own little bastion of humanity, fighting to get the top killcount before being overwhelmed.

If not, then I really don't know. I don't want it to be alone in my sleep or something (cuz thats boring). Death only happens once, I kinda wanna be there to experience it, but only when I'm way older and have had a good run. After a certain point, I imagine living very long losses its charm when you have to piss into a tube and eat with a different tube.

I'd like for the human race to be mind-transferred by the Great Race of Yith, which means we would all swap bodies with the Yithians. We go back to the past, to their vast Monolithic citites and they control our bodies.
With all that alien technology laying around, and with new perceptive abilities, we could figure out their way of mind-transfference and live forever! Sort of.

But if I had to die actual death, I would want some kind of almighty, epic, random cosmic event to obliterate my body - like a ka-me-ha-me-ha thrown by God at MACH 6, so powerful and full of pure energy, your brain can't even process that there was any pain at all!

I think I'd be just fine with hearing the end is coming going to a highspot with a bunch of friends and reminiscing while some music plays and then just to make it interesting if I could see what was gonna kill us coming I'd jump from my highspot and which will kill me the *insert world destroyer* or the impact with the ground

and if not that either find a random girl and die kissing her or see if I can get it on with my girl one last time

If I had to choose between either dying by myself or in an apocalypse, I'd pick zombies. I want to die with people I either know or love and go down fighting. Though the aspect of being eaten alive doesn't sound all that good either. But I would strap bombs onto my self and when I get bit, get as many around me and blow them apart. Something flashy and heroic. That, or the painless "sleep of death" with family and friends all around me. But not in a hospital. In the comfort of my own house.
