Poll: Hydrophobia. Should I wait?

So Hydrophobia episode 1 is out next week and it seems like quite an important release. However, they say they're releasing 3 episodes (prob at 1200 MS each) and a retail version next year.
Which do you think I should go for?

Hell I'm getting it day one...

3 episodes at 1200 points each = £30 approx.

So retail means you just have to wait longer for it.

It looks nice, but, there's no way I'm spending 1200 points on each episode. If it's retailing for less, then I'd suggest waiting. However, if the episodes are only 800 points each, then I'd be fine with that.

Are you playing anything else at the moment? I mean, if you just picked up Halo: Reach, or were planning to shortly, you should wait. Delayed gratification and all that. Besides, that way, you can consider the critical reception for all three parts before buying any of them, if you like.

Well there's quite a few things coming in october so i suppose. Just wondered if it'd be more exciting episodically.

Good point. I hadn't considered that. Wait for reviews, see what they have to say about how well the first one works as an episode. If it's strongly defined as such, then consider getting them episodically. If not, then binge on them all in one go when the game is finally released later.

I'm planning on getting it all at once in the retail version. I have to say, it's looking promising.

Retail. HL2:EP3 is killing me. So I'm no fan of episode releases.

I would go with retail. Rather get the whole package over having to wait for the next episode to be released.

Episodic releases are a terrible idea. I'd recommend waiting for the full game and not supporting the rediculous practice of "Lol, buy teh gaem in pieces!"
